Well, this isn’t the first time the Argentine would be showing off his family on the photo-sharing site. This pic stars the goal-machine, his girlfriend Antonella Rocuzzo and son Thiago.‎ Happy Family! 

Super Eagles forward, Ike Uche breaks Mutiu Adepoju and Finidi George's records in Spain.

30 year-old Nigerian footballer, Ikechukwu Uche played his way into the history books yesterday, November 3rd 2014 at his Villareal club in Spain when he broke the record of appearances made by any Nigerian in the country.
The Super Eagles forward who played for 71 minutes in the game between Villarreal and Valencia has now made 176 appearances. He surpassed appearances previously made by ex Nigeria internationals, Mutiu Adepoju and Finidi George who made 175 appearances each in the Primera División.
Ike, who was recently recalled to the Super Eagles team achieved the feat with 5 clubs namely; Recreativo Huelva, Getafe, Real Zaragoza, Granada and Villarreal. Finidi George made 175 appearances with RCD Mallorca and Real Betis while Mutiu Adepoju reached the landmark with Real Madrid, Racing Santander, Real Soceidad and Salamanca.

"One has to know when to stop". Franck Ribery announces retirement from international football.

The legends are taking a bow. Bayern Munich Forward, Franck Ribery has announced his retirement from international football. In an interview with German magazine; kicker, the 31year-old missed the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil due to injury said it was the right time to stop.
“I want to focus on my family and concentrate on my work at Bayern Munich and make way in the national team for the many young and exciting players. One has to know when to stop.”
The three-time French player of the year had 81 caps and scored 16 goals. He continued, “I have experienced so much and now is the time for others to come forward. You could see at the World Cup that we should have no concerns about France’s future. There were highs and lows but now is the time to start a new chapter in my life.”

Rihanna reportedly interested in buying Liverpool

According to reports, Barbados-born singer, Rihanna has launched a bid to buy England club, Liverpool. She reportedly fell in love with football during the World Cup in Brazil and showed interest in buying an English football club.

Spanish newspaper, El Mundo Deportivo reports that she was actually advised by a friend and Didier Drogba to take over the John W. Henry’s Fenway Sports Group-owned club.

AFCON 2015 groups announced

The line-up for the group phase of the Orange African Cup of Nations Morocco 2015 has been revealed. Nigeria has been teamed up with South Africa, Sudan and Rwanda. The group phase will run from September 5 to November 19. Winners and runners-up of each group, will then qualify for the finals in Morocco from January 17 to February 8, 2015.

Nigeria's Vincent Enyeama makes FIFA's best goalkeepers in the World Cup list

The world would be surprised if he didn’t make the list. Super Eagles/Lille shot-stopper, Vincent Enyeama has made FIFA’s list of the best goalkeepers in the 2014 World Cup list. Albeit Nigeria has crashed out of the World Cup, there is no denying that the Kaduna-born goal-keeping star made some epic saves in the tournament.

Manchester City prevented me from seeing my dying brother- Yaya Toure

There’s no way one can ever fully express the pain of losing a loved one. Manchester City midfielder, Yaya Toure who is still grieving over the loss of his younger brother, Ibrahim Toure Yaya Toure has claimed that Manchester City denied him time to see his dying brother.
The Ivory Coast international wrote in a column in France Football magazine. “At the end of the season, I wanted to stay four or five days with my brother before flying to prepare the World Cup with Ivory Coast but City did not wish to grant me those few days. I went to celebrate the title in Abu Dhabi while my brother was dying in his bed. Fortunately, Kolo was at his bedside. Afterwards, I regretted that I had not insisted. However, City executives knew that I was suffering.”
Ibrahim Toure died of cancer in Manchester last Thursday. He was aged 28. At the time of his death, none of his brothers were with him, they were in Brazil for the FIFA World Cup. Meanwhile, Manchester City has refused to make comments on his remarks.
