Torres confirms Athletico return.

‎From Athletico ‎ Madrid to Liverpool to Chelsea to AC Milan and back home….Athletico. Spanish footballer, Fernando Torres who kick started his career at the Spanish club at the age of 11 is rejoining the team on an 18-month loan deal. 

The 30 year-old confirmed the news on his official twitter account.

Carlo Ancelotti Wins La Liga Manager of Month for November

12 Points! 12 matches! 15 goals! To say life appears to be going well for Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti would be putting it mildly. For his team’s stellar displays in the Spanish league, the Spanish Professional Football League, (LFP) has named him the La Liga Manager of the Month of November.
A statement on LFP website reads, “These numbers, together with the side’s scintillating form and their splendid month, added to Ancelotti’s talent to get the best from players like Isco, James Rodriguez and Marcelo mean that the Real Madrid manager is the Liga manager of the month.”
The statement continued, “With him on the touchline, the Whites are experiencing their best ever winning run in all competitions, beating the record previously set by Jose Mourinho and Miguel Munoz.”

It’s 47days to the 2014 edition of the Ballon d’Or awards, FIFA has unveiled the 20 defenders shortlisted for the FIFPro World XI 2014 ahead of the prestigious sporting event.
Real Madrid leads the pack with 5 nominations, followed by Barcelona and Bayern Munich with 4 and 3 nominations respectively. The winner will be announced on January 12, 2015 at Zurich.

Real Madrid’s Iker Casillas, ‎Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois, Barcelona’s Claudio Bravo and two other goalies have been nominated for the FIFA FIFPro World XI 2014 award.
FIFPro, the World Players’ Union, and FIFA today announced the five goalkeepers shortlisted for the FIFA FIFPro World XI 2014 (see list below) as part of the final 55-man shortlist to be revealed on 1 December 2014,” FIFA announced. 
The winner will be announced on January 12, 2015 at the 2014 Ballon d’Or Awards in Zurich.

Super Eagles forward, Ike Uche breaks Mutiu Adepoju and Finidi George's records in Spain.

30 year-old Nigerian footballer, Ikechukwu Uche played his way into the history books yesterday, November 3rd 2014 at his Villareal club in Spain when he broke the record of appearances made by any Nigerian in the country.
The Super Eagles forward who played for 71 minutes in the game between Villarreal and Valencia has now made 176 appearances. He surpassed appearances previously made by ex Nigeria internationals, Mutiu Adepoju and Finidi George who made 175 appearances each in the Primera División.
Ike, who was recently recalled to the Super Eagles team achieved the feat with 5 clubs namely; Recreativo Huelva, Getafe, Real Zaragoza, Granada and Villarreal. Finidi George made 175 appearances with RCD Mallorca and Real Betis while Mutiu Adepoju reached the landmark with Real Madrid, Racing Santander, Real Soceidad and Salamanca.
