Stephen Keshi on Burkina Faso's radar
Out-of-contract Super Eagles boss, Stephen Keshi has been named in a three-man shortlist for a managerial post in Burkina Faso. The Burkina Faso Football Federation’s list also includes Serbia’s Milovan Rajevac and German coach, Gernot Rohr.
The FBF announced, “The Burkinabe Football Federation has just taken the first step in selecting a national coach, producing the shortlist that includes the names of the top three contenders for the post.”
Keshi who is also running for a new contract from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is expected to be offered a new one in few days time.

Joseph Yobo reportedly dumps football for politics
Ex Nigeria international, Joseph Yobo has reportedly dumped football for politics. I’m taking this news with a pinch of salt. Albeit the former Super Eagles Captain and Nigerian football legend, Kanu Nwankwo have been visible members of President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign team, that really doesn’t mean the latter has called it quits with the round leather game. And again, he could be seeking for a political post.
But sources close to the former Everton player disclosed that he is really through with soccer and infact he rejected contracts from Asia and America to concentrate on his support for the President.
“I can tell you that Yobo is no longer interested in playing football or anything related to the game now. Yobo is more interested in paving the way for his political ambitions and from the way he is going, it is not a mirage.
“A couple of weeks ago, he turned down contracts from Asia and America to concentrate on his support for President Jonathan. Yobo is not stopping at just support alone, he is determined to take it beyond 2015.” The source added.
