Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appointed Manchester United caretaker manager.


Following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho as Manchester United manager yesterday, the Red Devils have gotten an interim coach.

Former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been appointed as the club’s caretaker manager until the end of the 2018/19 season..He told the club’s official website: “Manchester United is in my heart and it’s brilliant to be coming back in this role. I’m really looking forward to working with the very talented squad we have, the staff and everyone at the club.” 



As Cardiff City’s manager, he won  9 times, lost 16 times, had 5 draws in 30 games. The 45-year-old spent 11 seasons at Old Trafford.

I am happy at Man City – Bravo

Claudio Bravo has said he is happy to stay at Manchester City despite losing his place to Willy Caballero. The former Barcelona skipper also branded reports of his exit from the English club, ‘fake news’. And he is not moved by reports that coach Pep Guardiola wants to sign a new goalkeeper.
“The issue that I was not playing came out, many examples of fake news have come out. Things that, above all, have no information about them. Many things also come out from this country that are not true – that I have a psychologist, or an English teacher to have a faster adaptation to life in England.  It’s all false, that I’m looking for another place to play, because I want to leave, things that are not true. I’m happy in England and so is my family.” he said after Chile’s 1-0 defeat against Argentina on Saturday.
In other words, the Chilean is staying put in England until the powers that be decide otherwise.

Eden Hazard out for 10-15 days

Eden Hazard will be out for 10-15 days with a calf injury. The Belgian could miss Chelsea’s Premier League match with Crystal Palace on April 1 as well as Belgium’s World Cup Qualifier against Greece on Saturday and the friendly with Russia on Tuesday.
“Eden has suffered an injury before the match against Stoke, it does not look so serious. But he will not play against Greece. We are going to follow the injury. It is a big disappointment for Eden that he cannot lead the team. If you want to be a good team, you have to absorb everything. This is a good test for us. I see enough players who can take over his role.” Belgium coach Roberto Martinez revealed

Victor Moses commits to Chelsea

Chelsea wing-back, Victor Moses has signed a two-year contract extension with Chelsea, keeping him at the club until 2021. The Nigeria international who was  on loan in Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United, having joined Chelsea from Wigan in 2012 put pen to paper a new contract worth £75,000-a-week.
“I feel very excited,” said Moses.  “I’m delighted to be here for another few years now and to sign a new deal. Now it’s time to concentrate on the team and keep working hard to make sure we win games and try to win the Premier League this season.
“We’re having a great season, I’m enjoying my football and we have a good manager here that has given every single one of us confidence. I just want to keep on enjoying it and working hard for the team.”

Gabriel Jesus ruled out for 3 months

Manchester United have been dealt a severe blow with their hitman, Gabriel Jesus  ruled out of action for 3 months following an ankle injury. The 19 year-old forward suffered the injury on Monday night during their Premier League clash with Bournemouth and had to be replaced by Aguero who netted the second goal in the game. The Brazilian has however opted for surgery on his broken metatarsal.

'I should have shut up, gone in and gone home' – Arsene Wenger has been charged with misconduct

Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger has been slapped with a misconduct charge by the Football Association (FA) following his altercation with fourth official Anthony Taylor on Sunday during Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Burnley. Prior to the charge, Arsene Wenger was sent off from the technical area after allegedly abusing referee Jon Moss following the latter’s decision to award Burnley a late penalty but stopped near the tunnel to watch the rest of the match, before getting into a row with Taylor and pushing him away.

Although he apologized for his actions during his post-match press conference saying “I regret everything. I should have shut up, gone in and gone home. I apologize for that, Look, it was nothing bad. I said something that you hear every day in football. Overall nine times out of 10 you are not sent to the stand for that. If I am, I am and I should have shut up completely. I was quite calm the whole game, more than usual.” He is still facing disciplinary actions from the FA

“It is further alleged that following his dismissal from the technical area, his behaviour in remaining in the tunnel area and making physical contact with the fourth official amounted to improper conduct,” read an FA statement.

He has until 6pm on Thursday to respond to the Football Association charge

Diego Costa dropped by Chelsea after a bust-up with fitness coach and coach

Diego Costa has been dropped from the Chelsea squad for Saturday’s Premier League fixture at Leicester City  after a row with fitness coach, Julio Tous. The Spaniard  has not trained with the rest of the squad for the past three days and reports are rife that he also fell out with The Blues manager, Antonio Conte.
In a not-too-surprising development, a club in China has reportedly offered him a £580,000-a-week deal. If he leaves, he will be the third Chelsea player after Oscar and Mikel Obi to be lured to the Chinese league.
The 28-year-old has scored 50 goals for Chelsea in all competitions

Manchester United forward, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been awarded the Premier League player of the month of December. The former Sweden international who moved to Old Trafford last summer was honoured after scoring 5 goals and providing 3 assists in 6 games.
Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte has been named Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month for a record third time in a row (October, November and December). He become the first manager to achieve this feat . The Italian has been nothing short of extraordinary this season, leading the Blues to the top of the table with a run of more than seven successive victories.
