Funke Akindele is gracious on the cover of ThisDay magazine.

The cover star of ThisDay magazine, The March 2017 issue has been unveiled and it is none other than delectable actress and producer, Funke Akindele-Bello.

Photographer extraordinaire, TY Bello, who captured the beautiful shots spoke about her experience on the set.
“I was really looking forward to Jennifa’s shoot for @thisdaystyle .I figured I was just going to spend the entire session rolling on the floor with laughter.. Boy did she deliver.. she walked in with Jenifa in all her glory.. we laughed till water was coming out of our eyes ni.
But she also brought in Funke Akindele .. It will take more than ten women to do the work this woman does . I listened to her talk about upcoming projects with passion. He described the day she had before our shoot and I wondered how she was sitting so graceful in front of my camera at all. Funke Akindele deserves all our respect on top of the love we have for her.She’s A super Smart . ..beyond Intelligent .. crazy Creative .. Nigerian human machine warrior . Beni!
Funke is making us laugh but she’s not playing . She’s putting food on countless tables and changing the terrain of culture one production at a time. She’s a beautiful woman too and it’s awesome to watch her glowing and absolutely in love . God bless JENIFA ..I DORF MY HART”

18 year-old girl reunites with parents after kidnapped at birth

18 years after abducted at birth, Alexis Kelli Manigo has finally met her biological parents. Gloria Williams, who she had known all her life as her mother posed as a nurse and snatched her away  when she was eight hours old at the University Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida in July 1998. Gloria allegedly suffered a miscarriage a week before she stole her. The teenager whose real name is Kamiyah Mobley  met her biological parents Shanara Mobley and Craig Aiken in South Carolina this week.
“First meeting it was beautiful, it was wonderful. It couldn’t have went no better. For anybody that has lost hope, just keep hope alive. Just keep praying just keep fighting. If it can happen to me it can happen to anybody.”
“It’s a feeling that you can’t explain this. It’s hard to put it in words right now. It’s hard to deal with this here right now. Like I said, we’re trying to process it… 18 years it’s going to be hard to make that up. Always thought I’d find her, always thought I’d find her.” Her elated Dad stated.

holiday destinations, because it’s very global, very European, but it’s
quintessential South Africa – the markets there and so many things come
together beautifully; our fashion, our music, our people. Cape Town really
personifies how beautiful South Africa is and what a great nation I think we
are.

Favourite far flung holiday destination?
I love Paris, I
love London and I love Los Angeles. And I love Mauritius.
5 things always in your handbag?
My cell phone, my
power bank to charge my cell phone, a pair of sunglasses, my asthma pump and my
Revlon lipgloss.

Who’s your favourite designer at the moment?
Hazra and Guccia –
I absolutely love him; I’ve worked with him numerous times over the years and
he just gets better and better. Internationally it has to be Balmain; I have
huge respect for Olivier.
Who do you stalk the most on Instagram?
I stalk a lot of
the Kardashians – I love what they wear, I love their family and I just love
their online presence on social media. I get a lot of style inspiration from
them.
 
I stalk
FashioBombDaily – their owner, Claire Sulmers, who I have great respect for,
and I also stalk Chrissy Teigen who I find really, really, really funny.
In Real Life, who is your favourite person right now?
My mother.

It’s
tricky! It’s exactly like learning to ride a bike again but I think I am doing
very well. Laughs. Of course you get the initial stumble and fall off but the
key is to accept that things are different now and that’s ok. My first date
after my separation, I cried on my way home as I couldn’t believe I was back
dating again, the stress and joys of getting to know someone again, the
excruciating pain of the past and the will to trust another again.

My portraits of Deola Sagoe  are on the cover of today’s Thisday style . You should go out and get this one . Her interview is amazing .  I remember telling her over the phone the images I had of her in my head . I described the movements and fringe details. This amazing woman just went ahead .. Sketched her interpretation of what I had described and produced some pieces for the shoot. 
More importantly she brought way more than the freedom and the spirit I had described. I can shout it from the mountaintop… Deola Sagoe is the most amazing subject a photographer can ask for . She connects so uniquely ..Her beauty runs deep and she’s understand what it means to be truly free. I still can’t believe this woman just turned 50.

My sisters, men who have broken your heart will always come back. ALWAYS. It may take weeks. It may take months. It may take years. It may take decades. 1) He wants to ensure that you haven’t moved on before he does. He can’t stand the thought of you moving on without him. This type of ex really doesn’t want to be with you. He simply wants to do just enough to ensure a new man doesn’t come along and pick up the pieces that he shattered. This way, he can always use you as a back up plan if he needs to.

2) He KNOWS that you will take him back. No matter how bad he messed up, he knows that you will give him another chance because you have done it so many times before. Sis, every time you take a guy back after he has dogged you, you will lose more and more value in his eyes. A woman who truly respects herself is not going to stay in, or give 5th and 6th chances, to a man that has treated her terribly.

It is clear that the needs and abilities of each family are individual. But there is a universal list that you want to buy before the birth of a child. It includes the following categories:
For sleep: crib or cradle;
For walking: stroller;
Care and hygiene accessories;
Clothing and diapers;

And if for some reason you are unable to breastfeed, you will need a bottle sterilizer and a mixture suggested by an experienced pediatrician-neonatologist.
The list of necessary Accessories  for kids:
1. Cradle for a newborn;
2. Waterproof oilcloth (it is better to choose breathable one, this way the child will not sweat too much);
3. Blankets: thin and warm (woolen or feather, depending on weather conditions, and the climate). Lately pediatricians advise to use a special “sleeping bag” instead of blankets – it keeps the same temperature at any time of the year and in any weather.

4. Sheets. If you lay the child in a sleeping bag, then you will need only the linens. You won’t need covers and pillowcases.
5. A pillow. Typically, a child under one year sleeps without a pillow. But if you think it’s needed, orthopedists advise to buy the flattest one — not exceeding 1 cm. Otherwise, kid’s movable vertebras will form incorrectly.
6. Special “nest” for your baby. It is worth to include this product in your shopping list if your baby sleeps bad and “calls” you more for calming than when he is hungry. “The nest” is a limited space made of soft cloth from which the baby can’t fall off, but where it is very easy to reach him. You can place “the nest” in your bad. Dimensional breathing of sleeping mom and dad will soothe a baby. In doing so, for the sake of security you should put it near the wall, rather than at the edge of the bed. And do not cover a newborn with your blanket!
