Friends, family and colleagues gathered at the LTV Blue roof, Lagos for the memorial service of late actress, Mojisola Olaiya. A one-minute silence for the deceased was led by Toyin Aimakhu. Her emotional 18 year-old daughter, Adun said he is hopeful her mother is in a better place. Other colleagues also paid tribute to the mother of two. Her remains is expected to arrive the country today before her internment tomorrow morning at Ikoyi cemetery. See photos below:

Nigerian singer, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj and his wife, Lineo Didi Kilgrow have are now parents to a baby boy. A reliable source disclosed that the bundle of joy arrived in the US on Friday, 19th May, 2017.
The couple had a quiet traditional wedding in Jos, Plateau state in June last year and a private registry wedding on, July 2, 2016. 25 year-old Didi is an undergraduate of the University of Abuja. Her father is an American and her mum is half Nigerian, half South African.
Congratulations to the couple.

Bola Tinubu pays for Moji Olaiya's remains, baby to be flown back home
Actress, Moji Olaiya’s baby as well as her remains will be brought to Nigeria from Canada courtesy of APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The development was revealed by actor, Yomi Fabiyi.
After due deliberation consulted our father and a National Grand Patron of our association (TAMPAN) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the 21st May, 2017 to inform him of the demise of our colleague Moji Olaiya and that our humble unanimous decision is to have her body back, then given befitting burial and have her 2 months old daughter re-united with the family. Today, Monday 22nd May, 2017 The Committee members, Adunola (Eldest daughter of Late Moji Olaiya) and 2 elder brothers of Late Moji Olaiya met with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and he expressed his sympathy directly and gave adequate support that will cover the entire air-freight.
On behalf of the family, colleagues and friends we say a big thank you to the National Leader for his fatherly and timely intervention. Further support or assistance from other sources if recieved will be adequately acknowledged. For now, we are geateful to Asiwaju and his family. The family and committee will however take it from there. Moreso, every other information relating the arrival and burial plans will be released shortly. Thank you all.

"I endured domestic violence because of my children" Mercy Aigbe opens up in new interview.
Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe-Gentry has opened up on why she endured domestic violence in her 11 year-old marriage. The mother of two who was beaten up by her estranged husband, Olanrewaju Gentry on Sunday, April 16, 2017 has revealed that the physical assault has affected her sight and caused her to bleed internally, she however said that she remained in the turbulent marriage because of her children and to retain the “Mrs” status.
Asked why she came out to say her husband never touched her, she was quick to refute it. “I never for once came out to say that my husband did not beat me. The video people were referring to happened in 2013 when there were rumours of such and I did a video recording alongside my husband to debunk the claim. At that time I had to do it to protect his image and my marriage. I had to do a live video at that time”, she said.
About Beating.
“He beats me consistently.” When probed on why she stayed that long after the consistent beating, Mercy revealed that she did because she wanted a home. “I stayed because I loved him and because every time he beats me, he begs and gets family and friends to beg me. He promised regularly to change but he never did. When my husband gets angry, he gets physical, not only to me but to anyone. He has done that with my house help who reported him to the Police years ago. “I stayed because of my children and because a lot of people look up to me. I was a role model of some sort and I really wanted to keep it together. I just wanted a home”
Why she wants to leave now.
“It’s not like I wanted to walk away but I just feel like we need help. I spoke to my husband’s brother about it. I told him I was going to pack out for some time while my husband seeks therapy. I just wanted to feel safe, that is why I moved my things out. This last beating was brutal. I actually thought I was going to die”.
I’m Still Coughing blood.
The Nollywood actress revealed that her husband broke her orbits which will necessitate a surgery for her to see properly. “I’m still coughing and sneezing blood even after three weeks”, she reveals how severe the injury inflicted upon her is.
My Husband Was Sleeping With a Girl
Aigbe also revealed that the last incident started few days before when she discovered that her husband was sleeping with a lady. A lady she claimed to be her friend whom she was close to. This was a regular attitude from her husband; a man she claims has slept with a lot of people close to her, even her PAs. He confronted him and it led to a huge argument which was turning violent before she had to keep quiet.
He Kept Beating Me
On the day of the incident, Mercy had informed her husband that she was attending a burial of her colleague. After his hesitance, she explained that it would not be fair on the lady since she had promised to be there and even invited him to come along. Mercy revealed that it was her refusal to go and pick her husband up while she was still at her designer’s place that brought the fury of the man on her. He was said to have driven there and started to beat her in the presence of everybody. “Immediately, I opened the door, he kept beating me. I was begging him and asking why he was beating me. He said he would destroy my face such that no make-up would fix it and destroy my career. He was acting like someone who was possessed. I told him “Lanre, mo ma bi mo fun e” (translated as “I have a child for you).
I agree that I am a fool
In the exclusive interview, the Nollywood star said she agrees that she was a fool for staying that long even with all the beating and humiliation. “I believed that a wise woman builds her home. That’s why I stayed that long”, she said.
About Cheating
“If he had shown a bit of remorse, maybe things would have been different. He went on saying that I cheated on him several times. I never cheated. That’s why I told him to come out with proof”, she said.
My Husband was in detention for over 7 months
“My husband was in detention for over seven months and I never left him or go anywhere. Why would I want to go now? He says all this is make-up. He is not showing any form of remorse and still sponsoring lies against me.

One Africa Music Fest host Banky W as well as headliners Cassper Nyovest, Victoria Kimani, and Falz arrived at London Heathrow Airport this morning, ready for the first ever One Africa Music Fest taking place in London this Saturday, May 13. They were met by a handful of teeming fans and media. The large travelling party also included the festival organizers Upfront and Personal, the One Africa Fest project team, UK project managers, press officers and an array of photographers.

Mercy Aigbe's husband remanded in Kirikiri prison
The last has certainly not been heard of the domestic violence case between actress, Mercy Aigbe and her estranged husband, Lanre Gentry. He reportedly showed up in court on Tuesday after failing to appear twice. He was meant to appear in court on Monday after a physical assault charge was leveled against him by the Lagos State Department of Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team but failed to turn up, claiming he was indisposed and was admitted in a hospital.
He was arraigned at an Ikeja magistrate court on three-count charge of domestic violence, assault and threat to life and was later granted bail. He however failed to meet the bail conditions of N500,000 and two sureties who reside in Lagos and have landed properties and is currently being remanded in prison.
The case has been adjourned to July 12.
