A programme evaluation report by media monitoring services Nigeria limited (MMS) for the first half of 2011 has rated Superstory, a drama series from the stables of Wale Adenuga Productions (WAP) as the number 1 most watched Nigerian soap opera, coming second is 'Thislife' also from WAP.
Reacting to the news, Wale Adenuga, Executive Producer of both shows, expressed his appreciation to fans, cast and crew of the show as well as advert agencies for inspiring them to strive for excellence.
SANI KAITA WOOS KESHI FOR RETURN
The name Sani kaita, easily rings bell in the ears of football loving Nigerians, it would be recalled that the Ukraine-based midfielder got a red card against Nigeria and Greece match at the 2010 world cup in South Africa, and thus changed the entire game. 21 YEAR-OLD MISS OGUN CONTESTANT EMERGES MISS NIGERIA 2011.
21-year-old Miss Ogun contestant, Feyijimi Sodipo has emerged the 2011 Miss Nigeria, while Miss Benue and Miss Edo became the first and second runner ups.
The show which took place at the Eko Hotel and Suites on friday, November 18, 2011 was hosted by the Miss Nigeria Project Manager, Wunika Mukan.
Musical performance was granted by multiple award-winning act, Tuface Idibia while the Firstlady of Lagos State, Mrs Abimbola Fashola was the guest of honour.
The last five standing contestants were: Miss Anambra, Miss Bauchi, Miss Edo, Miss Benue and Miss Rivers while the decision makers/panel of judges consist of Prof. Ebun Clark, Mrs Wunmi, Tony Akiotu, General Managing Director, Daar communications, Catherine Ifejika, Derin Osoba and Dr Bello Osagie.
Sodipo who was full of gratitude to God, her family and the organizer, Nike Oshinowo-Soleye would during her reign implement several projects in collaboration with the Federal and State governments, and also private organisations.

NOMINEES FOR 2011 BBC AFRICAN FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR AWARD
The nominees for the 2011 BBC African footballer of the year award was revealed on friday, 18th November.
The criteria for determining the nominees include individual skill, technical ability, teamwork, consistency, impact on results and fair play. The title was won last year by Ghanaian player, Asamoah Gyan.
African football fans are expected to start voting for the best online and via text to a designated number as voting lines would close Dec 9, the outright winner will be announced on December 16.
