CHARITY LOUNGE INDUCTS JULIUS AGWU, STELLA DAMASUS, 2FACE IDIBIA AND FUNMI IYANDA (THE FANTASTIC FOUR)

Creative Five World hosted an exclusive Charity Lounge Lagos event on the 28th of January 2012 tagged “Charity Begins at Home with the Oldies”. The event which featured the Induction of celebrities such as Ronke Apampa, Michael Collins and Tosyn Bucknor  into their Hall of Fame for their immense contributions to charities and they were referred to as the “Compatriots with Compassion”. Other features at the event also saw a presentation on cancer to mark the month of Cervical Cancer by renowned epidemiologist, Professor Dayo Oyekole affords those attending the benefits of addressing key cancer issues with natural therapy.
Hosted by HITV Breakfast Show Anchor, Mofe Duncan on a unique Afri-Carpet with premium entertainment from Yetunde of Project Fame, Korede Bello, Theatre Centrik and the Bethesda Home for the Blind in a ‘no- holds barred’ old school entertainment from Belgium based DJ Bambino.

Presentations were also made to the Holy Family Home from the Elderly, Bethesda Home for the Blind and Lagos Cheshire Home for the Handicapped by Public Spirited Individuals and Organisations.

Chaste Inegbedion, Community Relations Specialist of Creative Five World said “Charity Lounge Lagos is dedicated to creating innovative ways such as the Cancel Cancer Campaign, Hall of Fame and Charity Begins at Home initiatives to engage Nigerians and the rest of the international community to secure sponsorships for charities and working with organisations in giving back to their community.
The Maiden Edition premiered in Mushin; Lagos reaching out to youths and the young at hearts, Charity Lounge Lagos is a quarterly event and is expected to move around the Lagos metropolis as a change event. According to Wale Ewedemi, DG, Creative Entrepreneurs Association who described the initiative as the Birth of a New Nation in Community Service endorses the need for Corporate Nigeria and Philanthropists to throw their weight behind such laudable project.
The Second Edition of Charity Lounge Lagos is tagged “Fantastic Four ’’.Four Individuals and Four Initiatives have been Nominated for the Hall of Fame they Include Stella Damasus, Innocent Idibia, Julius Agwu , Funmi Iyanda while the Initiatives are the Future Project, Lamboginny Say No to Crime, Save Laura Campaign & Bake For Change.

TRU SOUTH GATHERS MOMENTUM

The Good Friday Musical concert was undoubtedly one of the biggest and music gathering in the year, with over 40, 000 people in attendance and notable singers on board, it was indeed a night to remember.
One of the artistes who moved the congregation was award-winning music Minister, Tru South.
The event which was staged at the Loveworld grounds Isolo Lagos on 6th April saw the soft-spoken, energetic hiphop soul musician who was conferred a lifetime achievement award by US’ president Barack Obama deliver an electrifying and inspiring performance.
Other artistes who were present at the event include world renowned worship leader, Sinach , gospel Reggae sensation Buchi, Joe Praise, Frank Edwards to mention a few.
The singer will in few days time drop his new single, Mimshack.

"NIGERIA WILL CONTINUE TO DROP IN FIFA RANKING…." JOE ERICO

Reacting to Nigeria’s 3-step slide (from the 57th position to 60th) in the FIFA ranking report released today, former Super Eagles assistant coach Joe Erico is not surprised that Nigeria is lagging behind .

Erico believes that Nigeria will continue to drop on the ranking unless some cogent steps are taken and that includes stepping up the national team’s international matches and qualifying series.

“We have not worked hard and that is why we don’t deserve to be in high position on FIFA Ranking. Our sports administrators need to work hard if we want to move forward,” Erico complained.

ALL WORK AND NO PLAY: ARSENAL PLAYERS TAKE UP BALLET

Just four of them were involved; Wojciech Szczesny, Alex Song, Bacary Sagna and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

And of course they havn’t dumped soccer for ballet (they will ‘learn’ if they try it)

After a training session, the four stars teamed up with four dancers from the English National Ballet to promote the new Citroen DS5 car.



Vinai Venkatesham, Arsenal Head of Global Partnerships at Arsenal, said: ‘Our players really enjoyed the shoot, and the chance to demonstrate that their qualities of strength, agility, balance and focus are just as much a part of ballet as they are in football.’

 

My best Arsenal player is Song but I can’t imagine him dancing to ballet with that awkward steps of his O_O.lol

KANYE WEST TO FEATURE ON THE KARDASHIAN REALITY SERIES

Just to remind you that Kris Humphries’ chapter is finally closed! The news is not that 31 year old international model Kim has gotten another guy less than a year after her fairytale wedding to basketball star, Kris.

The deal is Kim’s in-thing (Kanye West) who made few appearances on the Keeping Up with the Kardashian reality TV show is expected to feature on the next season of the show.

According to a source, “Kanye is head over heels in love with Kim, and he has told her he would love to appear on the reality show if she wants him to. Kim is a bit leery of having her man appear on camera because of the whole fiasco with her soon-to-be-ex-husband, Kris Humphries, but watch for Kanye to make several appearances on the show towards the end of the season. Viewers won’t see him featured in the first part of the season, and it won’t be all about Kanye,”

Though Kanye sang about his girlfriend in his new song Theraflu confessing he fell in love with Kim when she was dating Humphries, Kanye West’s ex, Amber Rose claimed both had been hooked up long before now; that is, when Kim was with NFL star Reggie Bush and Kanye with Amber!

“Kim feels extremely comfortable with Kanye because she feels that for the first time she is with a partner that understands what she does for a living and doesn’t scrutinize her for being in a reality show….She also doesn’t feel like Kanye is using her, like she did with Kris.” The source hinted.

The couple employed a trained hand to teach them "Chopsticks" on the same piano Tom Hanks used in BIG (a romantic comedy movie.)

WHITNEY HOUSTON BIOPIC: BOBBI KRISTINA&RIHANNA BID FOR 'WHITNEY' ROLE

A biopic on the late pop star Whitney Houston is in the offing. But the choice of who to play the role of the late singer is yet to be decided.According to reports, Whitney's daughter Bobbi Kristina an aspiring actress who was recently enlisted in Tyler Perry comedy series 'For Better Or Worse' cast strongly believes she is the perfect person to handle the role.Another star who is bidding for the script is Barbados-born diva Rihanna. "That would be something I would have to give my entire life to do, because I would really want to pull it off. Whoever does it has to do a good job." Rihanna explainedThe film will highlight Whitney's rise to stardom in the 80s and her oddysey into drugs amongst other issues.
Who can handle the role pretty well??
I havnt seen Rihanna act before. Maybe she has done a couple of movies before I don't know and can Bobbi handle the drug/alcohol part well?? Will the producer explore other options? We shall see.

FACEBOOK FOUNDER TO ACQUIRE INSTAGRAM FOR $1BILLION

Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg has announced his intentions to buy a San-Francisco-based photo-sharing company Instagram for $1billion.

In a statement made yesterday, Mark said, "This is an important milestone for Facebook, because it's the first time we've ever acquired a product and company with so many users.

Facebook, whose stock is expected to start trading in May, will run Instagram as an independent company. Not much will change with the service. Consumers will still be able to run it on rival social networks such as Twitter."

Instagram an iPhone/Android application enables people apply filters to photos they snap with their mobile devices and share them with friends.

Owned by 27 year-old Kevin, the company which was founded in 2010 is expected to close by the end of June.
