MUSIC CRITIC, WALE APPLAUSE DISSES VECTOR AND REMINISCE

These are not my words. I got this press release from a music critic on Vector and
Reminisce! Read on!Several weeks have gone past after the release of the track AQ and Vector, i decided to give it a listening ear just as I listen to several upcoming acts and new arrivals who do good music.
It was intentional i did not give in to distractions as there are several other useful things to be taken care of in the music factory.
I know this short epistle will raise eyebrows amidst both Vector and Reminisce fans, but before you make any comments, remember i don't and won't sing, i'm just doing my job as a music factory critic.
I would start this lamemtation from the rear, talking about the most recent distraction that happened in the music factory. When i first heard news of the track, i somewhat knew what to expect from a former UniLag graduate. I expected good and polished english, but i just did not expect VEC to go very personal. One question that always stood on my mind ever since was why would these dudes decide to go live back in the past? Come to think of it, asides the good use of words, that track was indeed a distraction. Who's more commercial, Reminisce or Vector? I leave you to that.
Back in the days when beef tracks were made, they were done with a lot of consideration of the enjoyment by fans, but what is in that to be enjoyed. Go ask Abolore how a diss track is made.
Although, a couple of facts could be picked from VEC, but as an artiste with mutual respect for a fellow artiste's career, i think that was poor. As a critic, i could also be of the school of thought that the beat made kako bi chicken, in other words, Reminisce gotta get more clinical. I wouldn't say the video was low budget because fingers aint equal, i'll rather call it an eye sore.
Take a cue from the days of Tupac and Biggie. If they were alive, they would have been in their early 40s. One fact is no matter how hard you diss each other, you'll never attain that legendary status, so what's your gain?
Even back here at home, this same saga left a man as a lyricist on the roll, the other struggling with commercial music, don't ask me who.
I suggest, it's high time both of you got matured. Think about the fans, do good music, let sorrows be forgotten, make your money and go live your life.
Diss tracks don't have to get very personal, even MI did his maturedly and on a spectacular beat.
Pardon me as i remind you both that your first albums book of rap nonsense and rubbish state of surprise were commercial failures and you both got wack videos for good songs, Angeli and Kako bi chicken, so why the cry?
I won't pitch my tent with any of you dudes as you obvviously care more about ego that enjoyment of your fans.
Even the young lad Olamide who reportedly dissed Choc boiz, refuted this as he saw no gain in it, he's more concerned about his fans.To Reminisce, i will succinctly say that as this 'ego competition' goes, you're losing. My advice for you is that you drop a good response and end this once and for all. I wouldn't be in a position to tell you what to do, but i'll advise you take a cue from 9ice's 'Talk i'm listening'.Finally, i will also advise that you should be more concerned about your commercial success, if you dudes continue like this, you'll end up in the category of popular broke rap stars. So in a few words, i ask that you wisen up. Peace.
I actually mean no harm.

EX CHELSEA STRIKER DIDIER DROGBA PENS TWO AND A HALF YEAR DEAL WITH CHINESE CLUB, SHANGHAI SHENHUA

The eight-year old courtship between Chelsea and Didier Drogba has finally been terminated. The ex Chelsea striker has joined Chinese club, Shanghai Shenhua after penning a two and a half contract.

The 34 year-old reveals,

"I considered all the offers I have received in the past few weeks, but feel Shanghai Shenhua is the right move for me at this time. I'm looking forward to a new challenge and experiencing a new culture, and am excited about developments in the Chinese Super League.

When Chelsea went to China last year, we had a great time and I met some amazing fans. I hope to help promote Chinese football around the world and further improve the links between China and Africa."

But it was good while it lasted (with Chelsea)

The Ivorian joined the Blues from Marseille in 2004 and helped the club win three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and two League Cups and recently the first ever Champions League title.

Drogba salary as at now cannot be ascertained but it would definitely exceed that of his ex teammate Nicolas Anelka.

TONY TETUILA'S MUM 'BATTLES' KEFEE'S MUM IN THE THIRD EPISODE OF SUPERMOM SEASON 3

The celebrity edition of the Supermom reality season is still on, infact the thrills and intrigues associated with the emotive show have just begun.
The second episode featured Ace comedian, Julius Agwu and his Mum Versus star singer, Olu Maintain&his mother. For the third episode which will be beamed across some TV stations this week, the 'face off' will be between 'My Car' chanter, Tony Tetuila&his mum Vs Gospel singer, Kefee and her mother.PRESS RELEASEBorn into an impoverished polygamous family with an enormous lump on his chest, a bad health condition, no doubt; and crippled as a child, Anthony Olanrewaju Awotoye, popularly known as Tony Tetuila, is proof that a man's beginning does not necessarily determine his future.
This Oro, Kwara State born recording artiste and song writer is widely regarded as one of Nigeria's living Hip-Hop legends and in his own words, owes his success and life to God and his mother's love, bravery, selflessness and prayers. On this week's celebrity edition of the reality show 'Supermom', Mrs Cecilia Awotoye, Tetuila's mother, tells the heart-wrenching and mind-boggling story of how she succeeded in raising her children, especially the precocious Tetuila, against all odds. According to her, nothing can aptly describe the pain a mother feels just watching helplessly as her son dies slowly because she can't afford to pay his medical bills. Although things had been tough generally for the family, the worst of her ordeals started when she noticed a lump growing on Tetuila's chest. "I cried every time I looked at him. I prayed endlessly to God to spare his life and I didn't give up hope." As any caring mother would, she took him to the places she could afford but no remedy came through until she visited the General Hospital in Ojuelegba, Lagos. There, he was operated on and grew up to be a strong child despite the pain and suffering he had to endure.
Months later, just when she was beginning to rejoice at his speedy recovery, she realised the kid who would later become Africa's music golden son couldn't walk. "We started visiting hospitals again and every time a doctor said my son would never walk, I prayed and cried to God. I never stopped telling them that my son would walk again!
There was one day I was returning to the hospital and I had to trek all the way with him on my back because there was no means of transportation; (Former Head of State, Mohammed) Murtala had just died and there was a bit of unrest in the country then." Months after, her miracle came. Tetuila started walking again! "I couldn't stop thanking God when I saw my son stand up and walk. Till today, I still thank God for him," she recalls in an emotion-laden voice on this week's episode of the Supermom Celebrity edition which airs this weekend on the AIT Networks, Galaxy, MITV and other terrestrial television stations across Nigeria.Raising children in a polygamous home with a husband who cared little about the welfare of his family and also suffering series of domestic violence, Mrs Awotoye had to take responsibility for the upkeep of her children and family. "I was his (Tetuila's father) first wife but it didn't matter to him. He beat me so hard one day neighbours came advising me to pack and leave him but to where? He will always be the father of my children and I didn't want to raise them as a single mother so I stayed and endured the pain." There was nothing Tetuila's mother didn't sell to make ends meet and put food on the table for her kids. From slippers to cigarette, groundnut, sugarcane and even cooking pots, she hawked and sold them all for their sake.
She continues, "I promised myself never to let them suffer or turn bad and wayward because of suffering. There was no point begging people for money when I have my hands and legs intact so I worked…I worked very hard. I did not look at the shame and insults from people around us. I knew things would get better one day". When Tetuila became old enough and was ready to bring his passion for singing to reality, he made his intentions known to his mom who gave him all the support she could muster. According to the Platinum-Haired-Bombshell as he is also known, his mom is the perfect description of a good and ideal woman and mother.
There has never been a time she wasn't there for him and nothing would quantify the worth of her ever encouraging words of advice. "I remember her always saying that God has ordained me for greatness and so He will keep me even from death. I am everything I am today because of my mom.
After God, my mom is next in my thoughts", he adds. "She has been through a lot for me especially considering the fact that there were so many children in the house yet, she took care of me like I was her only child. My mom has always been there for me."
Also on this week's celebrity edition of Super mom is the delectable Mrs Ejirooghene Rachael Obareki, the 59-year-old mother of Branama Queen, Erikefee Don Momoh popularly known as Kefee. Mrs Obareki recounts the story of how she lost a child and almost lost another and Kefee too, due to severe sufferings while raising them. Life had never been harder for her. Born to a reasonably comfortable family and being the only child of her mother, she had a few treasures passed on to her; treasures which she sold to feed and educate her children. When things got even tougher, she started a petty trade of fresh corn and firewood just to make ends meet. According to Kefee, her mom has always been a big part of her music career. It won't be far fetched to say she fanned the flame of success in her right from a very early age when she made her join the church choir and teach them songs as they went for different competitions and won. Even when the scandal of her broken marriage seemed to literally end her career as a gospel singer, her mother who had predicted the sad event never criticized her. Instead, she showered her with more love and supported her every step of the way. Kefee and Tetuila's mother's stories are the focal point in the episode three of the celebrity edition of Supermom sponsored by Procter and Gamble.

PHOTO OF THE DAY: SPIRITUAL PRICE LIST

The power of packaging especially in business can never be over-emphasized. Don't be offended, this person was just trying to be unique.

He or she would have capped it with a nice and simple motto. So if I was to suggest one 'twould be.

"Pay us to fight your battle"

By the way, hope you can see the 'Mastercard and ATM available' part.

Nonsense person!lol

NIGERIA STRIKER YAKUBU AIYEGBENI TO MOVE TO CHINESE CLUB

What's with Chinese clubs and foreign players? Nigeria and BlackRovern striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni is the latest catch.

Chinese Super League club Guangzhou R&F I heard would pay him an annual sum of $7.6m.

The deal which began about two months ago is almost completed. "The job is 99 percent done. If nothing goes wrong with the final one percent, Yakubu will arrive at Guangzhou this week." Lu Yi, the club's Vice President revealed.

Its all about the cash too. Players who have been lured to China with big pay packets include French striker Nicolas Anelka who joined Shanghai Shenhua, and Ivory Coast's Didier Drogba who is yet to move.
