GERMAN FOOTBALL ACE, MICHAEL BALLACK RETIRES FROM PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL

Ex Chelsea midfielder, Michael Ballack has announced his decision to call it quits with football. The German football ace made this known in a statement released by his lawyer on tuesday.

His words, "At 36, I look back at a long and wonderful time in professional football. It was a privilege to work together with first-rate coaches and fantastic teammates."

"I look forward to a new chapter in my life," Ballack said, and thanked his family "and all the great people" for their support during his career.

According to top football sources, his decision to hand the boots came after he failed to reach an agreement with the Western Sydney Wanderers about a move to the Australian A-League.

MIKEL OBI SETS UP RECORD LABEL

Just learnt he has penchant for music. Well, one of the hottest stories making rounds is that Super Eagles and Chelsea FC midfielder, John Mikel Obi has set up his own record label.

The label which is currently managed by his brother Patrick bears the name Matured Money Minds (MMM).

The Jos-bred footballer has (sharply sharply, no time wasting) signed four artistes; Splash, Kido, Edgar and Charass.

And they are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring they make théir mark in the competitive industry!

YEMI SAX SIGNS NEW ACT, THELMA O'KHAZ

Sax genius and United Nation Ambassador for World Youth Peace, Yemi Sax has unveiled his latest signing "Thelma O'khaz".

The diva who launched her music career 2months ago with the classic song "Ready For You" which earned a nomination at the 2012 Gbedu Awards is a graduate of Theatre Art from the University of Lagos.

The delectable diva has however joined the duo of "Lamboginny & Xclaim" who are currently pitching their tents in the Sax Records label.

MEET SKILLFUL DANCER, REUBEN WARIETA

Skillful dancer Reuben O Warieta hails from Delta State. The 21year old student of Animal health at Sokoto polytechnic started unleashing his dance skills at a tender age and this attracted and still attracts him to dance competitions and events.

Reuben is inspired by the likes of late pop star Michael Jackson, Usher, Omarion, Ciara to mention a few.

The talented dude who is taking up a profession in dancing also aims to take his great skills to greater heights. He loves singing and writing poems as well.

To be very candid, how many people were shocked when Ayobami Ayoola was announced as winner of MTN Project Fame West Africa? How many? *waving* most right? It reflected in tweets, FB posts, BBM updates. But like they say, Talent is never enough.

The Covenant University graduate edged magical singers Marvellous, Adetoun, Ella and the likes to clinch the grand prize of N2.5 million, a Toyota Rav4 and a lucrative recording contract.

PLANE CRASH AVERTED IN LAGOS











What would have been a disaster was averted earlier today and we have God to thank for this. A Qatar Airways aircraft carrying about 248 passengers crash-landed at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos today after making distress calls to the control tower in Lagos.
