A honour very well-deserved. Today exactly marks Sir Alex Ferguson's 26th year as Manchester United manager, the club has confirmed unveiling a bronze statue in his honour later this month. It would be recalled that Old Trafford's north stand was renamed the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand last year.
During his tenure, the scot has helped the club win 12 Premier Lbeague titles, five FA Cups, four League Cups, two Champions Leagues, a European Cup Winners' Cup, an Intercontinental Cup and a Club World Cup.
According to a statement from the club,
"As Sir Alex Ferguson celebrates 26 years in charge of Manchester United, the club can announce that the statue of Britain's most successful manager will be unveiled at Old Trafford on Friday, 23 November, at 2pm.

Key figures from the manager's time at United will be in attendance to share the occasion. The statue was commissioned to mark the manager's quarter of a century in charge of Manchester United.
"The statue, by renowned sculptor Philip Jackson, will be positioned in a prominent position near the entrance to the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand, renamed in his honour last year.
