Ex-Nigerian mid-fielder and coach, Sunday Oliseh has been appointed as a member of the world's Football governing body, F.I.F.A's, Technical Study Group.

"It is with great honour that I share with you my appointment by the world's Football governing body F.I.F.A as a member of its Technical Study Group amongst other functions."

"I am flattered to be a part of this football family and I believe that this is a blessed period not only for me personally but for my beloved Nation, Nigeria!" A statement on his website reads.

The 38-year-old Delta indigene who has a UEFA Pro Licence in coaching retired from professional football in January 2006.

The Eko Club in Bode Thomas- Surulere, Lagos, venue of the ceremony was uniquely and tastefully decorated and packed with guests most of which where friends, families and colleagues who came to celebrate the couple’s new beginning.

The roll-call of celebrities present at the ceremony include YemiSax a.k.a No.1 SaxBoss who incidentally was the Best Man, Comedian Elenu who thrilled guestd with rib-cracking jokes; Skuki (Vavavoom & Peashaun) and Yemi Macaulay were also Groom’s men.

CAREER MILESTONE FOR GOSPEL RAPPER, B.O.U.Q.U.I

So far, so good, its been a very fruitful year for Gospel rapper, Bukky Afolayan (B.O.U.Q.U.I). She staged her Love, Hope and War tour concert few months ago, released a captivating video and now the self-acclaimed Rapvangelist has been signed on to XIST MUSIC USA, the recording label of Xist Music Worldwide. Interestingly, she's the first African artiste and the first female act on the label. She's also been made the President of Xist Music Africa.

This good news is coming few months after the rap queen recorded a song with one of Xist Music artistes and Grammy nominee "Da T.r.u.t.h" titled Celebrate.

NIGERIAN ACTIVIST, JOSEPHINE OKEI-ODUMAKIN HONOURED IN THE US


Nigerian Human Rights Activist, Josephine Okei-Odumakin needs no introduction. The courageous Founder, Women Arise for Change and President of Campaign for Democracy who has in the last two decades been advocating for human rights, womens equality, and social progress in Nigeria has been recognized and honoured by the United States of America.

Her International Women of Courage Award was presented by the First Lady of the , Michelle Obama, and Secretary of state, John Kerry at a recent ceremony in the US.
