Good news to ardent lovers of African prose (especially fiction) and particularly fans of Chimamanda Adichie. The foremost Nigerian writer and author of Purple Hibiscus and Half of a Yellow Sun, will be releasing her latest novel, ‘Americanah’ next month.
The book will first be released in Australia on April 1st, United Kingdom on April 11, United States on the 14th of May. The release date for Nigeria has not been disclosed.
SYNOPSIS OF AMERICANAH
As teenagers in Lagos, Ifemelu and Obinze fall in love. Their Nigeria is under military dictatorship, and people are fleeing the country if they can. The self-assured Ifemelu departs for America. Organizers of Nigeria’s Largest Wedding Exhibition, the Wed Expo staged another talk-of-the-town event last weekend. The 2013 edition of the exhibition kicked off on Saturday, March 21st to March 24th 2013.
Headlined by Akin Osho, (publisher of WED magazine), the 3-day event which was held at Hallmark Events Centre, Oniru-Lagos, served as a melting-pot of businesses associated with weddings or simply put, exhibitors to showcase their brands to clients/guests.
Exhibitors include makeup artists, bridal shops, event planners/managers, photographers, jewelers, florists, caterers and many more.

He was also not represented at Mr. Idibia's wedding. It is also instructive to state that the President of the Senate, Senator Mark, did not make a car donation of any kind to Tuface before departing Nigeria for Ecuador neither did he purchase nor send any car to Dubai as a wedding gift for the musician or his wife.
Who made the donation on behalf of the President of the Senate?
It is therefore a puerile lie for anybody to state that Senator Mark bought a Ferrari car worth N47m for Tuface.
The allegation is wicked, ridiculous and irresponsible."
The first daughter of the Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church (Winners’ Chapel) Love Oyedepo got married to Steven Ogah, a Covenant University graduate and her father’s personal assistant.
The wedding took place at Canaanland yesterday March 23rd, 2012. Sorry we got so engrossed with 2face’s shindig that we didn’t pay attention to this.
