NIGERIAN ACTS BAG 20 NOMINATIONS IN THE 2013 CHANNEL O AFRICA MUSIC AWARDS

Nominees for the 2013 edition of the prestigious Channel O Africa music awards were announced yesterday. Top Nigerian acts; 2face, Psquare, Wizkid, Ice Prince, Tiwa Savage got 20 nominations in the 14 categories of the award.

BEHOLD BRITAIN'S BIGGEST BURGER

Two restaurant owners; Dave Cossar and Justin Meaney owners of JD's Grill in Plymouth took out time to produce something extraordinary to mark their one-year anniversary; the result- a giant burger which is now believed to be the biggest burger ever made in Britain.

Prepared by 3 chefs in 6 hours, the burger contains 25,000 calories and £150 worth of ingredients. It was served to 15 customers.

BOUQUI FEATURES REV SAM ADEYEMI IN NEW DOUBLE ALBUM

Award-winning Gospel sensation and President, Xist Music Africa B.O.U.Q.U.I will be releasing her much anticipated double album, Marks Of A General and Eve Of Independence this month.

The 28-track albums boast of productions from top beat makers; Samklef, Gospel, Jmetz, Kollo, Mix, Master J, VC Perez amongst others. Featured in the albums are Gospel stars from across the world

including American Superstar DA T.R.U.T.H, Midnite Crew, Obiwon, Abel Musuka from Zambia, FaithChild from UK, the Mobo award winning UK star "Jahaziel", Panam Passy Paul, Segun Obey, Henry Soul, CBlaise to mention a few.

There's also a surprise appearance from the General Overseer of Daystar Christian Centre, "Rev Sam Adeyemi".

The album would be released on September 3rd on popular online platform (iTunes) and then would hit the streets by third week in September.

CHARITY LOUNGE CONVENER LEADS YOUNG GLOBAL LEADERS TO LAS VEGAS

UN Peace Ambassador of Peace, Chaste Christopher Inegbedion would be leading 6 other non-peace ambassadors for a Peace seminar in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event which is taking place from October 20- 27 2013 is also in commemoration of the Social Good Summit which is held during the Week of the UN General Assembly.

Organized by the Universal Peace Federation in Partnership with Public-spirited Institutions. Advocates of peace who are interested in creatively charting new courses that will save the lives of people who die daily from domestic violence and terror attacks will participate in the Alafia Afrika Centennial Peace Challenge (In celebration of Nigeria at 100).

Chaste made sustainable contributions recently at the African Youth and Governance Conference in Accra Ghana in commemoration of the UN International Youth Day which includes the Elevation Pitch Africa, raised donations for the Ghana Federation for the Disable through delegates and also joined forces with other African youths for the introduction of an African Youth Observer at the UN General Assembly and an African-European Youth Parliament (A collaboration with the European Youth Parliament in view).
