10 YEAR-OLD NIGERIAN DOCUMENTARY MAKER, ZURICH ODUWOLE APPOINTED AMBASSADOR

My first post on Zurich Oduwole was written two months ago when she emerged the youngest person to be interviewed by Forbes, you can check the link below. The fabulous film documentary maker is in the news again for another good reason.

The Nigerian-American who just concluded her visit to Malawi, where she formally launched the second country destination point in her Dream Up, Speak Up, Stand Up program, aimed at inspiring the African Girl Child has just been appointed an ambassador of the Wanawake na Maendeleo Foundation (WAMA) a foundation on gender issues by Tanzania’s First Lady, Mrs Selma Kikwete.

Few days ago, Zuriel spoke at the United Nations UNFPA programme Dar Es Salaam on the issue of child marriage and girl education and then got commended and honoured for inspiring young children.

"A FACE THAT LIES TO THE WORLD." READ SOME MEN'S COMMENTS ABOUT MAKEUP

 
Every one is entitled to their own views/opinions. I was really going to work on a makeup story and then I came across a post with the above before&after makeup picture on a fashion website. I was really shocked at the negative comments it generated, albeit this fraction doesn’t really represent the opinions of all men.
I have nothing against (well, makeup most ladies don’t ) even though I hardly wear them these days, but wait a minute people buy products to correct one or two defects in their bodies, what makes the face so different? if I come across a product that can cover my thoroughly freckled face, why wouldn’t I buy it? Needless to say makeup enhances one’s features, covers skin blemishes and give you that flawless look.
Read some of the comments.
(1) The girl in the photo is apparently not satisfied with the way she looks without makeup and uses makeup to artificially portray a person more people would find attractive.
(2) I think it is deceitful, men go for looks and for most looks are an important aspect of your potential partner.
(3) The level of deceit is so high that wearing a certain amount of makeup should be deemed a criminal offense:
(4) Looks like two completely different people. It’s amazing what makeup can do. Personally I think that this level of makeup should not be allowed, because it dramatically deceives.
(5) Women get up every day, and one of the first things they do before they even leave the house is put on a face that lies to the world. The majority of women even refuse to be seen in public without their liar’s face on. And they claim men are deceptive…ha!
(6) Really not trying to sound mean here, but I was always against makeup until I saw this photo. I always preferred natural beauty, even with some imperfections (who doesn’t have them), But that is literally a photo that goes from “No” to “Hello”.

"HE WOULD COMMAND A TOP WHACK" ALEX FERGUSON WANTED IN AUSTRALIAN TEAM

 

After spending 26 years as Manchester United, 71 year-old Alex Ferguson is still a hot cake even in retirement. A trillion and one Man U players/fans wish they can turn back the hands of time and none would deny the absence of ex Old Trafford boss isn’t felt.
Ex Man U goalkeeper, Mark Bosnich is itching to have Sir Alex Ferguson as the coach of Australian team, considering his tractrackrecord /managerial success, they particularly want him to lead the team to next year’s World Cup. Their coach was recently red-carded after The Socceroos’ consecutive defeats against Brazil and France.

“We’ve been throwing around a lot of names but there’s one person that I haven’t heard mentioned – even though I’ve got more reason than anyone not to suggest him, I’m just being honest and have had experience under him, so know what he’s like – it is Sir Alex Ferguson.
That name hasn’t been put about, but we need someone of that ilk. He would command a top whack, but in life, and especially in sport, you get what you pay for. If you want the very best, you’re going to have to pay for the best.”

PHOTO: A WELL-DESERVED HONOUR FOR SIR ALEX FERGUSON

So much honour for the old boss. First it was a statue, now a street in his name, the legendary erstwhile Manchester United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson deserves all the honour. The street which is located at Old Trafford ground used to be called Waters Reach, it was renamed Sir Alex Ferguson Way and unveiled today.

His reaction to the honour, "It encapsulates probably the last 26 years coming to the great club, the history of it. It's been an incredible journey for me, ending today for me to unveil this road sign. I'm really proud of that and I'm proud of everyone who has been associated with the club. I'd like to thank

Manchester United for inviting me down here, 26 years ago. It was a fantastic elevation in my life and a challenge I accepted."

He continued, "And we are where we are now. It's a great, great football club. You, the supporters, have enjoyed it. And I still think that a lot of our young fans don't remember that there were bad days. Dealing with bad days is what we're good at. This club will always go on. To have a part of Trafford carrying my name is truly humbling."

KRIS CHEATED ON BRUCE- KRIS JENNER'S SISTER OPENS UP IN NEW INTERVIEW

Still on Kris and Bruce Jenner's separation. is done and dusted, the couple or better still ex couples have moved on. Kris's sister, Karen Houghton recently granted an interview on the issues that led to the collapse of the 22-year marriage.

She began by saying Kris admitted cheating on her former hubby, Bruce Jenner, "It's so funny because I could never see a guy cheating on her. She's so powerful. Kris even went so far as to meet up with her ex-lover on an episode of KUWTK." She added.

"But as for Bruce, I do not believe that he has ever cheated on Kris … And I don't think he ever will, if they stay together." And if they divorce? "Bruce will find someone else. But I guarantee you, Kris will find someone in two days. I promise!"

On Kris' attitude, "My sister is a person who likes to stay really busy, focused, in control, done, done, ABC, you know. And even a little bit anal. But I think that's because when you have situations inside of you that aren't filling your complete happiness, there's a hole in you. And I think right now, Kris has that hole in her because of what's going on with the family right now."

She also mentioned that In Lamar Odom's drug use and infidelity also complicated the whole matter. "The stress was beyond what any mother could take. And then, you know, Kanye had moved in with Kim, so the house was kind of crazy, and I think there was to much on her plate. And then Bruce moved out … I don't think Kris knew how to handle it. I think she tried her very best, she's amazing, but I just think she couldn't do it all."

SIGNING GARETH BALE A BIG ERROR BY MADRID- DOCTOR

That footballers sustain injuries is a fact that shouldn't be subject to any arguement. What however makes that of world's most expensive player, Gareth Bale a hot topic is the way Madrid according to spanish media is playing down the seriousness of the injury.

A spanish Doctor Dr Avelino Parajon however thinks buying the star was a big error and rip off. He has his reasons, "If Real Madrid have signed Gareth Bale knowing about this protrusion, they have committed an error. That is not to say that tomorrow it can be operated on and he can continue playing, like has happened many times.

"But if he already has problems with protruding discs, that indicates that it is not a one-off. When a person has those problems at that age, it suggests that he has a great possibility of suffering herniated discs and symptoms arising from that over time. It is a bad sign for any athlete."

Madrid was quick enough to debunk A spanish print media (Marca)'s earlier report that the £86million ex Spurs striker has a slipped disc and needs surgery. "He only has small chronic disc protrusion, which is extremely common among football players and that does not in any case affect them in the normal course of their duties." They stated.
