marriage. Right to some extent and wrong to some extent. Depends on your wife.
If your wife is jealous, she may not be able to handle it. For me, talking
about marriage, when it happens it happens. I’m old enough to marry. But I’m

Petitions to strip Real Madrid of their first 5 CL titles garners 50,000 signatures

 
Online petitions demanding that Real Madrid’s first five European titles be revoked has garnered a total of 50,000 signatures on change.org. The petition which kicked off few days back by a certain Justicia Deportiva – (Sporting Justice) reads thus.
 
“We wish to request, in the name of the values represented by the sport
and by democracy, that Real Madrid’s 5 ‘European Cups’ won between
1955-56 and 1959-60, be immediately revoked in recognition
of the fact that those trophies in no way correspond to the competition recognized today as the UEFA Champions League”.
So what they are saying in essence is that every time a format is changed the title holder should
be stripped off their title?  Very funny!

Enyeama, Emenike to feature in Yobo Testimonial match


Ex Super Eagles players, Vincent Enyeama and Emmanuel Emenike will honour their countryman, Joseph Yobo by playing in the forthcoming testimonial match. The duo who hung their boots last year confirmed their participation in the game which is scheduled to hold on May 27 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt. The event coordinator told PUNCH about the development.

“We have a confirmation to that effect and there are many other goodies
lined up for fans because Yobo is so passionate about this project. “Emmanuel is coming. He spoke with me personally and I am so elated with the love shown by my colleagues.” He said.

Nigerian gospel singer, Frank Edwards is teaming up with renowned singer and music Evangelist, Don Moen for a song titled Grace. Frank narrated how their paths crossed.
 
‘’10 years ago, I was Hawking on the streets of Enugu for my mother. We
were so poor that we could hardly afford to eat, But my mother always
took me to church. She always told me to
serve GOD, and that is how I lived my life. 

Even wen it was difficult
to eat, I have always lived a life of worship. Today, God has taken my
music all over d world, it’s a beautiful thing to see white people
singing my songs, Igbo songs that they don’t know the meaning. Some time
ago, we were concluding a program and I was looking for a camera to
take a pic with Don Moen. 

Wen eventually I got someone to take d pic, as
I posed with Don, he looked at me and said, ” Frank Edwards, it is u!, I
need to take dis pic with u”. And he took his phone and showed me, ”
see, I have all your songs on my phone” then he said ” Frank, I saw
online that you have a studio in your home. I would like us to do a
collaboration together. I’m gonna come to your house for d first
recording and you will come over to mine in U.S for the finishing”.

Aston Villa FC sold to Chinese company


A Chinese consortium has bought Aston Villa 2 years after owner, Randy Lerner put the club up for sale. The deal was finalised m on Wednesday night, with former Chelsea coach, Roberto Di Matteo heavily tipped to take over as manager.

A club statement read, “Aston Villa Football Club is pleased to announce that an agreement has been signed today for the sale of 100% ownership by Randy Lerner to Recon Group owned by Dr Tony Jiantong Xia,” . “Subject to the approval of the Premier League and the Football League.
“Once those approvals have been granted and the new board members approved under the fit & proper rules of both leagues, Dr Xia will become Chairman of Aston Villa. The Club will announce the appointment of a new manager shortly.
“Randy Lerner has sought the right new owner for Aston Villa who would take great care of the Club and restore its fortunes. He believes that Tony Xia is an excellent choice.
“Recon Group is Dr Xia’s privately owned holding company that owns the controlling interest in five publicly listed companies on the Hong Kong and Chinese stock exchanges and many other private companies employing 35,000 people in 75 countries.
“Dr Xia played football as a striker until he finished at college and football has remained his passion. Dr Xia decided to buy an iconic football Club in England as the cornerstone of his Sports, Leisure and Tourism Division. He became a fan of Aston Villa many years ago and is delighted at the opportunity to become the new owner.
“Dr Xia’s immediate objective is to return Aston Villa to the Premier League and then to have the Club finish in the top six, bringing European football back to Villa Park. He plans to make Aston Villa the most famous football Club in China with a huge fan base.”

Petr Cech wins Barclays Golden Glove

Arsenal skipper, Petr Cech has won the Premier league golden glove outright with 16 clean sheets more than any top goalkeeper in the 2015 /2016 season. 
Manchester United’s goalie, De Gea as well as Kasper Schmeichel of  European Champions, Leicester City, and Manchester City’s Joe Hart finished with total of 15 clean sheets while Tottenham Hotspur’s Hugo Lloris came fifth with 13.

Switzerland unveil provisional squad for Euro 2016


Switzerland today unveiled its provisional squad for the Euro 2016 tournament. And there were a not-so shocking omissions. Leicester City midfielder, Gokhan Inler has been left out for failing to impress for the foxes this season.


“I’m very, very sorry for Gokhan. He is a great player and a great
character,” said Petkovic. But I have to remain consistent in my acting
and thinking.”

“Competitive rhythm is one of the most important considerations for a squad in such an important tournament.” Swiss coach Vladimir Petkovic said.

The Cristiano Ronaldo Vs Lionel Messi debate has surfaced for the umpteenth time. Former Manchester United boss, Alex Ferguson has given his verdict on who’s the best between the two. Recall that the Portuguese spent 5 years under his stewardship at Old Trafford.  
Speaking at an event in Dublin on Tuesday, the former Scottish manager said
“It’s interesting to me that we hear so much about two players these days: Ronaldo and Messi. Now don’t get me wrong, Messi is a fantastic player, it’s like he’s
wearing slippers when he controls the ball, but here, for me, is the
difference: Messi is a Barcelona player but Ronaldo could play for
Stockport County and score a hat trick.


“He has everything. He can shoot with both feet, head the ball, he’s
as brave as a lion, and here’s something else people overlook. During my
time at Manchester United I was lucky enough to have a lot of people
who put in countless extra hours to get better.


“Gary Neville turned himself from an average footballer into a
wonderful one because of his work ethic, as did David Beckham, but
Ronaldo used to completely exhaust himself, and still does. He just
wanted to be the best in the world.”

Well, a lot of people share the same sentiment but i don’t think Messi will not perform in other clubs or leagues.

Found Chibok girl gives an update on other captives


Amina Nkeki, the first Chibok girl found by a vigilante group on Tuesday in the Sambisa Forest, close to the border with Cameroon has given a shocking update on other captives held by the terrorist group, Boko Haram.

Luck smiled on the teenager (who is now a mother of one) when she went in search for firewood in the forest and was reportedly identified by a civilian fighter who recognized her. She however said “all the Chibok girls are still there in the Sambisa except six of them that have already died.”

Sad development!
