Luis Suarez tops Bloomberg's list of most influential footballers. See top 20

Liverpool’s Luis Suarez has topped Bloomberg Sports list of most influential players. The Uruguayan who scored 31 goals and assisted 12 in 33 Premier League matches piped out the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the rankings.

Bloomberg’s criteria include: Effectiveness and efficiency when performing specific attacking tasks, including goals, shots, creativity etc.

Not Again! Samuel Eto'o fires another parting shot at Jose Mourinho

Let’s face it! Jose Mourinho’s “age” comment about Samuel Eto’o really hit the striker below the belt. Less than a week after branding the Portuguese a fool, the Cameroonian has fired another parting shot at Chelsea Manager, Jose Mourinho. The message isn’t really different from the previous one, the four-time African Player of the Year has just decided to change the superlative.
“Contrary to what a puppet says about my age, I am still physically fit. At 33, I feel really good. I have proven that I can do better than the younger players. And I wish to also say that I am not going to the United States or to the Middle East. I will continue at the top level. I will continue to play the Champions League.
The ex-Inter Milan player continued, “My romance with this competition is far from over. I will not tell you where, but I will be at the top level. I am 33 and I have two World Cups to play. There are other players who went on until the age of 41 so there is no reason why I cannot continue.”

Burglary incident: "I feel empty, no emotions"- Mario Balotelli

Few days back, thieves broke into the house of AC milan star, Mario Balotelli and carted some of his treasured items away; a car (which has been recovered), BB Porsch, gold and watches. The incident happened shortly after he chased a thief who tried to steal his phone down a street. The Italian went out with his brother Enoch and returned home to find his apartment in Limido Comasco burgled.

“I feel empty! No emotions … But always fighting for the few people I love. They deserve it.” He wrote on his twitter page.

A Russian billionaire, Dmitry Rybolovlev has been asked by a Swiss Court to pay a “super-whooping” sum of $4.5 billion to his ex-wife, Elena Rybolovleva. I just tried to calculate that in naira and honestly the result is really deceiving me.
Ranked 147th on Forbes list of billionaires and with a fortune of $8.8 billion, Fertilizer king as he’s fondly called also owns French soccer club, AS Monaco. Well, he is expected to make an appeal within 30 days. The couple got married for 27 years, have two daughters, the ex-wife also gets custody of their 13-year-old.
Marc Bonnant, Elena’s lawyer called it “the most expensive divorce in history”. Two other lawyers in the case, Corinne Corminboeuf Harari and Caroline Schumacher, termed it “a complete victory” for her, adding that under Swiss law she’s entitled to half the fortune he made during their marriage.
