"I'd rather receive a bite than a leg breaking challenge" Joey Barton rises in defence of Luis Suarez after latest biting incident

Finally someone from football world feels Suarez’s pain. Queen Park Rangers (QPR) midfielder, Joey Barton has defended Uruguay striker, Luis Suarez in the heat of criticisms from fans and football lovers all over his latest biting incident. You would recall that the Liverpool playmaker sunk his teeth into the back of Giorgio Chiellini when his team clashed with Italy few days back.
The English Footballer’s take is that nobody is perfect and a leg breaking tackle is worse than biting. He added he is a winner and his punishment isn’t the end of the world.

“He’s at it again! Should Suarez face a lengthy ban of 2+ years? I love Suarez. I love his passion for the game. I would have him on my team everyday of the week. I am also aware you can’t defend him here. All things considered I’d rather receive a bite than a leg breaking challenge. Whilst he should be punished, it is not the end of the world. He’s a winner. If that means he occasionally steps over the line between right and wrong, than thats what comes with the territory. Nobody’s perfect.” He wrote on his twitter page.

Well, not that she now regrets it, infact, she’s enjoying every moment of her marital life. The fair-skinned role interpreter in a recent interview with PUNCH revealed that she’s had to turn down so many scripts because of her marital status.
“I have lost some jobs as a result of my marital status but it is worth it because you can’t buy a good home or compare it to anything in this world. You can always get another job after you lose one. But once you lose your home it is difficult to get another good home.

I take up controversial roles wisely and can no longer go the extra mile with male colleagues on set or take up bitchy roles. My husband can take up any role and he knows how to handle them. My man is very decent and does whatever he feels is right. After all, location is location while home is home.”

"We respected Argentina too much. Messi is from another planet" – Stephen Keshi

With that stellar performance, beautiful brace and three man of the match awards (the first in this tournament), one cannot agree less with Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi. The former Nigerian player in his post-match press conference heaped praises on the Argentine star who scored twice to keep his team at the top spot.

“Lionel Messi is so good he must be from Jupiter. Messi is one hell of a player. There are other high calibre players, but Messi is from another planet, he’s from Jupiter I think.” Keshi affirmed.
He also identified Nigeria’s shortcomings in the match and implored players to put in their best in the next game, which is against France.

“We respected Argentina too much. We relaxed on the second half, tried to play our game and improved then. I hope we can continue like this on the rest of the tournament. We know France is a very good team, they play very well. We know about them and we’ll have to prepare for that.” He added.

Luis Suarez might face 2- year ban over latest biting incident

No doubts, this dude needs help. Someone should also consider cropping his front teeth. Uruguay striker, Luis Suarez might face two years ban over latest biting incident at the World Cup, FIFA has confirmed. The Liverpool star appeared to have sunk his teeth into the back of Giorgio Chiellini when his team clashed with Italy last night.

A statement from FIFA spokesperson reads thus, “We are awaiting the official match reports and will gather all the necessary elements in order to evaluate the matter.”            

Jim Boyce, Britain’s FIFA vice-president and head of FIFA’s referees committee, also voiced his concerns about Suarez’s actions. “I have watched the incident several times on television. There is no doubt Luis Suarez is a fantastic footballer but, once again, his actions have left him open to severe criticism. FIFA must investigate the incident seriously and take whatever disciplinary action deemed necessary.”

Angry Keshi slams abusive Nigerian fans

This has got to do with the Nigeria Vs Iran match which ended goalless draw few weeks ago. According to Africanfootball.com, Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi is not really happy with the way some abusive Nigerian fans hurled insults at him and criticised his antics during the opening group game at the World Cup in Brazil.


“I am disappointed, totally disappointed by the personal attacks, but it’s their thing, no wahala. It’s a shame, just a shame that we keep doing the same thing and then they come back and they say they are sorry. Sorry for abusing my mum? Sorry for abusing my siblings? For what? That I am representing Nigeria?” He stated.
To be very candid, I understand Keshi’s point and there’s really no justification for the insults but really it was only natural for fans to react and express their opinion about the game. No one will give the team kudos when their performance is lacklustre.
