Number of Ebola cases in Nigeria has reduced to one- Health Minister

This is so relieving! Pray the only patient left recovers and is discharged soon. Health Minister, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu during a press conference revealed that Nigeria has successfully been able to curtail the number of Ebola cases in the country. Right now we have only one patient in isolation.
Nigeria recorded a total of 13 cases since the outbreak of the EVD in July. Patrick Sawyer, the primary carrier died few days in Lagos, Five infected patients also lost their lives, seven recovered and were discharged. Prof. Chukwu also added that two of the nurses who managed Mr. Sawyer were discharged yesterday at the isolation centre in Lagos.
Also, all the 129 people under surveillance have completed the 21day observation incubation period, one person found to be symptomatic is under observation.

The funeral for the ex-DG of NAFDAC will continue today Tuesday 26th August 2014 with a Mass at the Pro-Cathedral Catholic Church, Garki, Abuja. She will be buried in her husband’s house in Agulu, Anambra on Thursday 28th August 2014.

Few hours after he sealed up his £16million move to Liverpool, Mario Balotelli has penned a heartfelt farewell message to the fans as well as staff he left at AC Milan. The message was posted on his instagram account.
“As I am about to enter a new chapter, I would like to thank the AC Milan fans who have shown incredible loyalty and faith in me. I also want to thank the great staff who have shown exceptional patience and guidence [sic] over the years.

“Most importantly, I want to express endless gratitude to my teammates who supported me on and off the pitch, just like my family does. Your camaraderie will be forever appreciated, as I’ve learned so much from you all.

“I leave Milan with sadness, but know that I will still make you all proud going forward.

Athletico Madrid coach, Diego Simeone slammed with eight-match ban

Quite lengthy! Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has slammed Atletico Madrid head coach, Diego Simeone with a total ban of eight matches following his conduct during the Supercopa de Espana clash with Real Madrid, two days ago. He’s also expected to pay a fine of€4,805.
The former Argentine international was sent off after 25minutes into the first half following heated exchanges with match officials on the touchline, he also patted the fourth official on the head and applauded the referee before moving to the stands.
The RFEF confirmed in an official statement that the 44 year-old has received a two-game ban for excessive protests over a decision, a four-game ban for striking the fourth official and two additional one-game suspensions for applauding the referee before continuing to remonstrate from the stands. 
He however has 10 days to appeal against the sanction.

Mercy Johnson hid in a car trunk the first time she met Genevieve Nnaji

And when she surprisingly showed up at her wedding few years ago, she almost melted, twas one of the highlights of her day. I think I have one of the best role models ever. I like Genevieve like crazy. I started watching her movies from the onset but I didn’t want to be Genevieve, I wanted to be Mercy with the motivation that a Genevieve could give me. So I watched lots of movies. I don’t play with her movies. I don’t know what I can do that will be better than what she has done. But I just try to improve on it, try to do it the way she will do it and perhaps even better to my own level. I practice like all the time. It is like a passion. It is just where I want to be. I am alive and I am in my space. It was paramount to perfect that space. I need everything. I watch everything. Nothing passes me by. I watch newscasters reading there news and after they are done, I sit down the way they do and read the news like that. Meeting Genevieve Nnaji for the first time
Ahh! The first time I met her, my friend took me there. When we got to where she was, I became nervous. I told my friend “no, let me hide in your boot”. And I did. I got into her boot. Can you imagine I came to see her and when I got there, I wanted to run back. I jumped into my friend’s boot. So when she came out of the hotel, I could not see her, I could only hear her voice. The 2nd time I saw her was on set. When she came down and I met her, she said” “Ahh! Mercy, I like your movies” and I started crying. I was in tears of joy. I said “Aunty Genny, so you watch my movies?”. She was sort of embarrassed. Before I met her, she had already known that there was somebody who was crazily insane about her. She was really nice to me, receptive. And even whenever we work together, she will correct me and say, that thing you did, you could have done it this way. Usually in life, you will know somebody, who is more than you. Give him or her that respect. You can’t fight a battle you can’t win. It does not make any sense. CNN International launches Smart Business

CNN International today announced the launch of Smart Business – a new weekly feature segment that will profile the trailblazers using innovative new approaches and the latest technology to create new business opportunities. From September 3, Smart Business will air on the network during the recently-launched The Business View with Nina Dos Santos and World Business Today so that it reaches Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia prime-time audiences. Each week the segment will feature a different company or industry personality who has broken the mould in the world of business to thrive in a digitised and connected world.
By watching Smart Business, viewers will learn first-hand about a wide range of workplace innovations on topics as diverse as digital advertising, supply chains, business intelligence and technical literacy to name a few.
