Rio Ferdinand slams David Moyes in his autobiography.

Still on Former Manchester United player, Rio Ferdinand’s Autobiography titled 2sides. He isn’t done on opening a can of worms. Yesterday we learnt about how he branded John Terry an idiot over a racial issue that involved his brother Anton and the Chelsea captain in 2011, this time around it’s Manchester United’s former manager, David Moyes.

Ferdinand who left the Red Devils for QPR after 12 years also spoke on David Moyes’ reign at Old Trafford. He described the Scott as embarrassing and his tactics negative and confusing.

Excerpts from his book which is being serialised by the Sun reads.

“He tried to impose a vision, but never seemed to be completely clear what that vision should be. Unintentionally, he created a negative vibe where, with Fergie, it had always been positive. He’d slowly lost us. I didn’t enjoy playing under him.

“Sometimes our main tactic was the long, high, diagonal cross. It was embarrassing. In one home game against Fulham we had 81 crosses! I was thinking, why are we doing this? Andy Carroll doesn’t play for us!

Moyes’ innovations led to negativity and confusion. It was always how to stop the other side. Moyes set us up not to lose. We’d been accustomed to playing to win.”

The worst single moment of his career at the clun was when Moyes dropped him for last season’s Champions League quarterfinal clash against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

Ferdinand added. “It killed me. Inside I wanted to scream and grab him. I’m a team player, so I just had to bite my tongue and stand there. It was probably the worst single moment I ever had at United. I’d never been dropped for a big game like that – and to drop that on me in front of everybody.”

"The biggest idiot will always be John Terry." Rio Ferdinand revisits racial issue

Manchester United star, Rio Ferdinand has revisited the racial issue that happened between his brother Anton Ferdinand and Chelsea’s John Terry in 2011. During a match between QPR and Chelsea 3 years ago, the Blues captain was said to have racially abused Anton by calling him a ‘f****** black c***’, an offence which was taken up by the FA.

Speaking for the first time since the incident happened, the Red Devils defender labelled John Terry stupid for failing to apologise to neither him nor his brother. He also added that he cannot forgive him for what he did and put his family especially his mum through.

He wrote in his autobiography titled #2Sides,

‘He never apologised to me or to Anton. And he has never hinted that he has ever had a moment of understanding over the damage his stupidity had inflicted on everyone.’

‘For me, the biggest idiot will always be John Terry. As England captain and my centre-back partner he could have saved everyone a lot of pain by admitting immediately he used the word in the heat of the moment, but was not racist.

‘I think that’s probably what happened and what the truth is. Anton and I would’ve accepted that – instead he never gave us a chance. That was the betrayal. He tried to run away from what he had done.’
