Carlo Ancelotti on Di Maria's exit from Real, "He left to earn more elsewhere"

So Angel di Maria’s reason for leaving his former club, Real Madrid was all about more bucks. Speaking on the Argentine’s exit, Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that he left for Manchester United when the club could not meet his huge pay-packet demands.

The former Chelsea manager told Cadena COPE, “Di Maria? I was in agreement with the club. There are times when the club needs to say no. You can’t change the policies of the club for one player. Di Maria asked for a lot of money and preferred to leave to go find it.  The club couldn’t give him the money he wanted.  They say that I’m the manager of the club; of course, I coach for the club, not for the players.”

Di Maria joined The Red Devils few months back on a British record of £59.7million after a four-year stay at Santiago Bernabeu.

Pandemonium as woman identifies Boko Haram abductor in the bank

A 43 year-old woman (name withheld) caused pandemonium in a Maiduguru-based bank few days back when she identified a Boko Haram abductor who raped her more than 10 times for months.

The woman reportedly saw the man in the queue and shouted, “He is the one, he is the one! God will punish you, you will rot in hell!”

Soldiers appeared at the scene shortly after he confessed to being a member of the dreaded sect& also confirmed the woman’s story. He revealed that several women; old and young are being abducted&raped at the forest hide-out.

Another woman from Cross River State who escaped their den narrated her ordeal; she had moved to Maiduguri in search of work when she was abducted by them, she was raped by over seven men everyday for more than two months.

She revealed that the virgins and young ones are being raped by their leaders while the older or married ones are reserved for the fighters. She added that women who failed to satisfy their sexual urge are being killed&the ones who do not comply are also being tortured to death.

This is quite sad! God help us all!

The agency provided partial funding for Chocolate Moose Media

Chocolate Moose Media founder and award-winning director Firdaus Kharas
said,‎ “I have created what I hope will be a compelling video to prevent the spread of Ebola. My approach is to combine animation with non-coercive persuasion by having Africans speak to their own broader family.”

Accessed through download for local playback, all partners will distribute
the video to reach as many as possible. Distribution channels include
international organizations, non-governmental organizations, civil society and churches and through social media using #Ebolavideo.






“Through a combination of weak health infrastructure, inconsistent levels of education and unpreparedness, this epidemic has become a global threat,”said Dr. Kunal D. Patel, medical director of iHeed. “Digital media can fill the gaps. In combination with technologies such as mobile phones, cinemas, projectors and tablets, animated information can help.”
According to the World Health Organization, 7,470 cases of Ebola had been reported as of Oct. 3 (http://goo.gl/ni3P1M), with 3,431 deaths in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.


Ebola is transmitted to humans from wild animals and spreads through
person-to-person transmission. Contact with the body of a deceased person can also play a role in transmission.

Andres Iniesta makes history in Spain

Spanish midfielder, Andres Iniesta has become the first Barcelona and Spain player to win the Golden Foot award. He edged out superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Andrea Pirlo, Thierry Henry, Yaya Toure etc to win the prestigious prize.

The award is handed over to players aged 28 or over and it is determined by an online poll. Then a panel of journalists select 10 finalists based on personality and achievements. At the 11th edition of the ceremony which took place in Monaco yesterday, Iniesta had a mould of his footprints taken on stage.

Nollywood actor, Clem Onyeka killed by stray bullet (photos)

Fast-rising Nollywood actor, Clem Onyeka is dead. The 37 year old actor was returning from a movie location in Asaba when one of the bullets fired into the air by armed robbers who were chasing a bullion van hit him on the head. He died on the spot.

Texas nurse who contracted Ebola from late patient in America identified.

According to Yahoo news, the Texas nurse who contracted Ebola from Thomas Eric Duncan, the first Ebola patient in America  has been identified as Nina Pham. 

The 26 year old health worker at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital wore full protective gear while treating Duncan but still contracted the EVD.‎ Pham who was diagnosed in Sunday has been in isolation since Friday.


“Our team lead in Texas has spoken with her on multiple occasions, She’s been extremely helpful.“‎If this one individual was infected and we don’t know how within the isolation unit, then it is possible that other individuals could have been infected as well,” The Centre for Disease Control (CDC) director, Dr. Thomas Frieden said
