The Truth about MI Abaga | Episode 8

They call him MI’er just because he’s getting high’er and spitting fi’re. If you’ve never seen an episode of “The Truth” with Olisa Adibua, this is one interview you don’t want to miss. And it’s with no other person than Mr. Jude “MI” Abaga aka Mr. Incredible. Arguably one of Africa’s most prolific MCs with hit tracks and performances that helped redefine African music as we know it and pioneered a new dawn of Afro hip-hop extending its influence beyond just the shores of Nigeria to the entire world, we caught up with the “Chairman” himself to find out the truth about everything.

Just to mention a few, we wanted to know who MI Abaga is dating; his candid opinion about the issues between Jesse Jagz, Brymo and his label, Chocolate City; his thoughts around the rap game – who is the greatest rapper in Nigeria?; how it all began for him as an artist and the challenges of being not just an artist but also a music executive. In true fashion MI also drops some bars off his upcoming “Chairman” album – a little something for the fans.

Stephen Keshi reacts to his sack.

Former Nigerian midfielder, Stephen Keshi who was relieved of his job as Super Eagles manager few days ago has taken the sack in good faith. Here’s what Big Boss told reporters at Premium Times.

It’s about time for me to move on my dear. This is not the end of the world for me.” Keshi said.

Keshi took over from the new U-23 team manager, Samson Siasia in 2011. He won the 2013 African Cup of Nations, AFCON, in South Africa and led the team to the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2014 Confederations Cup in Brazil.

Eden Hazard says only these 5 players are better than him. Do You Agree?

23 year-old Chelsea star, Eden Hazard who has been on a top-top form for his club this season has mentioned the five players better than him in Europe. When asked to rate himself, the Belgian footballer had this to say.

“I’m not a top-five player yet. Maybe I’m close to it, but I still have to work on some aspects. You can only be part of that group if you are decisive in the top games. I start doing that, like I did against Manchester City and Arsenal.”

Players better than him. “Who are better than me? The two extra-terrestrials, Ronaldo and Messi, Ibrahimovic, Ribéry and Robben. They make the difference almost every game.”

This newlyweds' selfie has been named the best in the world

It’s not star studded, just a random shot and you wonder how this qualifies as the best selfie in the world. Well, the reason isn’t far-fetched, the couple, Andrew and Sally Rose Robinson, took it few seconds after they exchanged their vows. Then, they saw a competition, ‘World Selfie Awards’ online, sent their picture in and Voila! they won.

The bride, a nurse at  Royal Preston Hospital, said: ‘It did leave a few of my older relatives a little confused though as they couldn’t really figure out what we were doing.

I’m not really into Twitter or things like that but Andy saw the competition on there and decided to send it in – I had no idea!’

It was just a nice, fun thing to do and if other people feel like doing it at their wedding, they should just go for it.’

Andrew a chartered surveyor added, ‘I joked about taking a selfie at the wedding rehearsal as all our friends take them when we are out, but thought I’d be too nervous to do it on the day. As it turned out I wasn’t, so we decided to go for it, with the vicar’s approval, on my best man’s iPhone.

‘We thought the photo looked great, especially with the family in the background, so we put it on Facebook and it went huge.’

‘I was surprised when I heard we’d won and actually checked to see if it was for real as we’ve never won anything before.’
