Barcelona star, Neymar Jnr has cleared the air on reports made by several media outlets few hours ago that his ‘dive’ celebration after he scored against PSG at the UEFA Champions League last night was a mockery of Real Madrid talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo’s trademark move.
The Brazilian took to his instagram page to explain that his diving gesture was a result of a bet he made with his friend.
Nobody should bet with me!!! The bet was… That if I scored a goal, he had to jump in the pool, hahaha.”
He later posted a video of his friend jumping in the pool after he scored.

The love story of the President of United States Barack Obama and his wife Michelle has been made into movie. The flick will centre on the couple’s first date.

Titled, “Southside With You,” while “Get On Up’ star, Tika Sumpter will be playing the role of Michelle in the movie, no actor has been named for Barack’s role.

The pair met years back at a Chicago law office where Michelle worked as a legal counselor and Barack a partner.

Emmanuel Emenike gives out N8.5m worth of rice

Fenerbahce/Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike has mandated his family members to give out 900 bags of rice (worth N8.5million) to some local government areas in Imo and Anambra states for the Christmas season.
The Glo ambassador who reportedly spent about $60,000 last year on charity work is also organizing a football match in Anambra State.
A family source told Africanfootball.com, “This is what Emenike has been doing since he moved to Europe, people enjoy this period with him, he gives back to the society.  He organises football match for the grassroots players with big prizes involved.

“Right now, he’s in Turkey but preparations to distribute the items are ongoing, and on his return he will visit the motherless home and other charity organisation in Lagos and Abuja.”

FIFA backs Amaju Pinnick as NFF President

World Football Governing Body, FIFA has abided by the majority decision of the NFF Appeals Committee that upheld the elections of the president, Amaju Pinnick, his Vice, Seyi Akinwumi and two board members, Felix Ayansi-Agwu and Sherif Inuwa.
The NFF sent rulings to FIFA to know its stand following the controversy generated by chairman of the committee, Barrister Okey Ajunwa Ajunwa’s report.
And in a letter signed by its General Secretary, Jerome Valcke and sent via email to the General Secretary of the NFF, Musa Amadu and copied to CAF, FIFA backed the majority decision of the Appeals Committee to uphold the elections and added that it is pleased to work with the new Amaju-Pinnick-led board.
The letter reads,
“We acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 8 December 2014 including details of the ruling of the Nigeria Football Federation Appeals Committee. We note the majority decision of the Electoral Appeals Committee to uphold in their entirety the results of the Elective Congress held in Warri on 30 September 2014.
“We are therefore pleased to be able to start working with the office bearers headed by the NFF President, Amaju pinnick. We will contact you in the coming days to organise an introductory meeting between Mr Pinnick and FIFA president in Zurich .”

Singer turned politician, Abolore ‘9ice’ Akande has reportedly written a petition to the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) over the primary election that was carried out at Ogbomosho on Sunday which unfortunately didn’t favour him. Find his press statement below


“I Abolore Adegbola Akande an aspirant under All Progressive Congress party contest against the inconclusive primary election that was carried out at Soun Stadium in Ogbomosho North L.G.A. Area of Oyo State.

There were no ballot boxes, the electoral officers came to the venue 5:45pm same time an aspirant (Oye Oyewunmi) arrived at the venue, there were no delegate passes, there was no accreditation,

Ogbomosho North Local Government Delegates were not allowed to vote and just two local government participates during the election, Orire local government and Ogbomosho south local government, the election was carried out without preparation for lights and other necessaries to ensure smooth election at night.

I am using this medium to appeal to the appeal committee to render this election null and void with immediate effect, also another date and different venue outside the town should be schedule for a proper and free and fair election at a later date.
