Top football official reveals how winning the BBC Award and Falcons' World Cup exit devastated Asisat Oshoala.

Super Falcons’ exit from the FIFA Women’s World Cup left Nigeria/ Liverpool Ladies’ FC forward, Asisat Oshoala devastated, top football official reveals.
Oshoala who beat  Veronica Boquete of Spain, Germany’s Nadine Kessler, Scotland’s Kim Little and Brazilian forward Marta to win the maiden edition of BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year award last month failed to impress at the Canada 2015 tournament.  This really got her depressed because she knew she failed to meet up to expectations.

“Shortly after the BBC award was announced, we noticed that Oshoala was behaving somehow. She even went on twitter to say that she does not know what was happening to her. Oshoala became so depressed,” the official said.‎

“The psychologist was with her 24/7 and even other officials, including our leader of delegation (Mrs. Dilichukwu Onyedima) spent time with Oshoala, taking to her not to allow the weight of the BBC Award depress her. But she kept saying that the focus on her was becoming too much. I am sure she is yet to overcome the depression because Oshoala didn’t really perform to expectation in this World Cup. This is not the Oshoala we used to know.”

She continued. “After we came from behind to draw 3-3 with Sweden, we were all expecting the team to go all out and finish Australia in our second group game. We actually relied so much on Oshoala to prove her worth upfront, but that was not to be.”

“The Oshoala we used to know would rubbish those Australian defenders. On a good day, she would have used that game to announce herself in the competition, but she played as if nothing was at stake. At a point, I began to ask myself if it was the same Oshoala that was playing on the pitch. There was no cohesion in her movement and those amazing skills were nowhere to be found. I won’t blame her much because she is still very young. She may have allowed depression overcome her in this World Cup.”‎

Oshoala was not in the mood to speak after the team’s elimination from the World Cup. ‎NFF board member and chairperson, Women Football Committee, Dilichukwu Onyedima who also noticed her change in attitude held private talks with her.

“The team psychologists really worked on her. I also called her for private talk, where I advised her to focus her energy on the World Cup and forget the attention she is getting from people. I even told her to call her parents to pray for her because I felt that prayer from parents has a great impact on a child. But let us not put all the blames on Oshoala for our inability to do well in this World Cup.

“The NFF actually gave this team the financial and moral support they needed to do well. But that is one of the things in football. We will go back and plan for the future.” Onyedimma said.

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly angry with Real Madrid for the following reasons.

‎Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly angry with his club for these five reasons, AS learns.

1. The club did not protect him during the big controversy that surrounded his 30th birthday party. He hasn’t talked to the press ever since that happened.

2. He learned about his new position on the press. Nobody talked to him about whether he was going to start playing as a center striker or not, meaning that the rumours in the Spanish press were the only thing that let him know Benítez’s plans towards his position on the field.

3. He doesn’t want Jesús Olmo as Real Madrid’s main doctor. The players wanted Pedro Chueca back in the team but Real Madrid decided to keep Olmo instead and make him the central figure in Real Madrid’s improved medical services.

4. Benítez traveled to meet Bale but did not go to see Ronaldo.

5. Casillas and Ramos aren’t being treated fairly. He is worried about their situation and wouldn’t like to go through this same problem in the upcoming years.

Ex Super Eagles player, Femi Opabunmi still in dire need of help

The reason why my headline reads “still in dire need of help” is because he’s been in this sad situation for long and he’s not really received much support. Learnt about his plight few minutes ago via the twitter post of top TV sports presenter/pundit, Godwin Enakhena.

“Ex Nigeria  star is jobless, lost an eye, kids out of school, can’t feed family. Spent savings on operation”‎. He wrote.

‎For those who don’t know him. Femi Opabunmi  played  for Nigeria at the 2001 FIFA U-17 World Championship, Trindad and Tobago and also played at 2002 World Cup in Korea/Japan.
He was the 3rd youngest player to ever play in the World Cup finals after Norman Whiteside and Samuel Eto’o.‎

Read Excerpts from his interview (culled from omojuwa.com) few years back before he lost an eye.‎

“In December 2006, I was training one day when suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my eyes. I could not see the ball again. My vision became blurred and I decided to see an optician. The woman told me that in a few days, I could be blind if I did not have surgery, I went for it and the surgeon said it was a success.”

” The bill was so much that I was forced to contact a few of my friends. Osaze Odemwingie and Seyi Olofinjana responded by sending some money to me. Others did not even reply my mails or called to know how I was feeling.”

“I was expecting to see again but there was no improvement. I visited the doctor and other hospitals in Paris without a solution. They told me that my problem was a complex case that I was too young for such a painful experience”.
Returning home…

“I went to Ojulowo Eye Clinic in Ibadan but I had no money to pay the bill. When Onigbinde heard about my return to Nigeria, he called me and helped me. He paid my bill at Ojulowo but the problem was only solved halfway”.

‎So sad he and his kids are going through this.

An Ode to full-bodied women | By: Joseph Edgar

You see the beauty of a chubby woman can only be imagined by those who really understand what true beauty is. The society has continually been deceived by western society especially their media that for you to be considered beautiful you must be thin and skinny with your collar bones sticking out like cloth pegs and your hips non descript.
I beg to disagree. I have been a connoisseur of the chubby woman and I am pleased to announce that nothing beats the curves and undulating moulds of the chubby round and well proportioned woman. When you look at the curvaceous beauty all you see is the meaning of life. The excitement of an undulating adventure and the nervousness you feel when you are about to start a race on a very steep and curly race track.
The full bodied woman is what God intended beauty to be. From the well formed breast, jutting out of the chest, daring your touch, pulling your gaze and making a Boy Scout of you, to the wonderfully streamlined thighs, jutting out of mesmerizing hips. I have seen all kinds of hips in my lifetime. Hips that have stood out like the Horn of Africa, hips that have contributed in giving you a feeling aching to what you get when you are on a high. The hips of a full bodied woman are the most aggressive part of her body.
When she is angry, they stand out akimbo, with those beautiful huge hands resting on them. The hips, carry the clothes, Showing you just how sexy this being is. Reminding you just in case you have forgotten that this is the essence of womanhood, that these hips will carry your children, make your mates green with envy and give you nights of dizzying pleasure while also making you a wiling slave forever.
The only down side of the full bodied woman is the unfortunate incidence of the tummy. The tummy juts out and in some cases attempts a distortion of the look. Girdles, body shapers and all sort of contraptions have been known to be used to battle these scourge. Some have even lost their lives in an attempt to conquer it. They needn’t worry cos even the skinny ones are plagued by the bulging tummy with comical consequences.
Would you rather carry a bulging tummy on a skinny frame. You will come across like those malnourished shoulders in the starving plains of Ethiopia. But on a full bodied woman, cos the size is there it usually comes out well proportioned. The only thing that may make you notice it, is the confidence issues that makes her ask you to switch of the lights before she undresses.
The glory that comes with voluptuousness, can only be witnessed rather than imagined. The warmth of being enveloped in a morass of flesh, the suppleness and quiet pleasure that seems to envelope you as you snuggle into the arms of a full bodied woman can only be compared to episcopalian rhapsody. The melody that comes with a ‘shag’, seeing you wallow in between warm and fleshy thighs, enjoying and exploring the wonders of the moist insides protected by fleshy mounds of excitement while floating in the melodic miasma of the psalmists rhythms can never be exchanged for the dryness and sahelian carnage that an attempt on the skinny woman’s anthill will provide the unfortunate traveller.
I have always thought that an attraction to a size zero is a sign of hidden gay tendencies. Or how would you explain an attraction to a flat chest, hapless and bony structure with the spine clearly visible as you even attempt an erection. This attraction could only mean that if given the opportunity this hermit would ravage a male. Well their business.
All hail the full bodied woman for within their perfectly sculptured bodies lies to full and total emancipation of unremitting pleasure that has been locked up in the wrongful yearnings of the slim and skinny woman through the negative permutations of media and society.

Wedding Anniversary: Samson Siasia sets the record straight.

Choi! He must have read some nasty comments online. Nigeria U-23 coach Samson Siasia has set the records straight concerning his marriage anniversary which he celebrated a week ago.
Contrary to reports that the 47 year-old ex Super Eagles player got married to his wife Cassandra in 1985, he actually celebrated his 27th marriage anniversary and not 30th. Meaning he got married at the age of 20 and not 17.
He added that the organisers of the marriage anniversary party who were friends and back-
room staff of the U-23 National Team made a mistake on the cake. I
(you people gave the cake football age too. Hian!)
