"You don't need a man to fulfil your dreams" – RMD counsels daughters

Veteran Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo has penned an awe-inspiring message to the little women in his life; his daughters and grand daughter. The 55 year-old counselled his girls to be comfortable with themselves and never succumb to the society’s standards of beauty adding that all the need to achieve greatness is inside of them.
“Dear girl-child,
irrespective of your age, pedigree, social status, race, tribe, faith and/or
appearance, you have the ability to be who or what you wish to be. Everything
you need is on the inside of you, so all you need is to look within.

You don’t have to be skinny to look good in a dress. You don’t have to be tall
to be gorgeous, you don’t have to have long curly hair to be fabulous, no
matter your skin colour, YOU-ARE-BEAUTIFUL!!! You don’t need a man to fulfil
your dreams, you don’t need a foreign accent to “be all that”… You just chin
out, square out, keep your head up, take a deep breath and take the world by
storm.
Again, EVERYTHING-YOU-NEED-IS-INSIDE-OF-YOU, never, forget it.
And to those of you who think it’s too late or think you did not start on time,
-nah baby, it is NEVER too late to start so start today.

NDLEA torture taking its toll on Babasuwe's health – colleague

Popular actor, Yomi Fabiyi has raised concerns over the health of veteran thespian, Babatunde Omidina, fondly called Babasuwe.  Recall that the comic actor was arrested by NDLEA in 2011 over suspicion of drug trafficking and was released weeks later.
Seems the torture he underwent in the hands of the anti drug law enforcement agents is taking its toll on health.
Fabiyi has disclosed on his instagram page that his colleague’s health is getting worse. Read his post below

“I am calling on all SENIOR COLLEAGUES in the entertainment world especially those close to Baba Suwe cos I don’t have everyone’s contact to please reach out to him asap. The torture done on him by NDLEA is vastly damaging his health at an alarming rate. He told me he no longer feel comfortable since that episode. Baba Suwe is a widower, he can hardly walk properly as I speak, let alone go to film. How will he feed and take care of the children aunty Moladun left behind?

This is an A-List Entertainer and this conspiracy of silence gives me MENTAL AGONY on my part, I don’t want to speak when it may be too late, I won’t forgive myself. He told me when I visited him that he is innocent of the accusations and yet a LONG PIPE was inserted through his anus, he was detained for too long amongst other things just because he was randomly suspected like every normal person. In my opinion, only lazy, ill-trained, unfit and uncivilised officers torture in the name of investigation. Torture is criminal and sinful. If this accusation is found to be true by independent investigators, it shouldn’t go unpunished. 

The court asked NDLEA to pay him 25million for damages which is yet to be obeyed but to me an OPEN APOLOGY will placate him and illustrate some dignified and civil approach from a government agency that made him go through all that without coming up with a single proof after that prolonged detention and drama. He who assert MUST prove! NDLEA needs to restore public confidence by doing the needful on this matter. And until individuals and government agency begin to respect fundamental HUMAN RIGHT and enhance duty of care, the essence of Nigeria’s FREEDOM is far from been realistic. No malice is intended against NDLEA with this outcry, I just hope the leadership see this as a clarion call for getting it right and save the agency from sending an innocent person to an early grave whereby leaving his children to suffer unjustly. Comedian Bright ‘Basketmouth’ Okpocha is bereaved at the moment. The funnyman is morning the loss of her mother who died recently. Paying tribute to his matriarch on social media, he wrote
“Last my angel left me, my first love stopped breathing and it’s the deepest pain I’ve ever felt. I love you for every sacrifice you made to make me the man I am today, I’ve loved you through the tough times. I’ve loved you through happier days and all I can say at this point is that I will love you forever. I will miss you mummy.”

Divorce saga: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt release statements

Hollywood star,  Brad Pitt has released a statement in the wake of his split from Oscar-winning wife, Angelina Jolie. The 52 year-old told PEOPLE, “I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”

The couple who have been married for two years and been together for 12 years celebrated their wedding anniversary last month.
Angie’s attorney, Robert Offer, released a statement on her behalf yesterday. “Angelina has filed for dissolution of the marriage. This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time.”

Citing “irreconcilable differences.”, in the 11-page legal papers, she asked for full physical custody of the couple’s six children, and joint legal custody.  Brad and Angelina are parents to; Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knoxand Vivienne, 8.

Jolie’s manager, Geyer Kosinski added, “Angelina will always do what’s in the best interest of taking care of her family. She appreciates everyone’s understanding of their need for privacy at this time.”

Famous couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt who have been going through rough patches in their marriage are going their separate ways.

The actress reportedly filed for divorce yesterday September 19, 2016 from her husband of 2 years whom she dated for 10 years. She cited irreconcilable differences and asked for the physical custody of their 12 children. Other speculated reasons for the divorce include Cheating and bad parenting style.

made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting.”
