World’s richest man, Bill Gates has donated $4.6billion worth of his Microsoft shares to charity, his biggest donation since he set up the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in 2000. A report by a US Securities & Exchange Commission states that the Philanthropist’s donation comes in the form of 64 million Microsoft shares, valued at $4.6billion and representing about 5% of his current $90bn fortune. Gates now has his stake in Microsoft reduced to 1.3% from 24% in 1996.
