The news of his interest in the Bayelsa State gubernatorial election race left many open-mouthed. Not long after this, another news saturated the air that Ben Murray-Bruce, Chairman, Silverbird Group was disqualified from contesting November 19, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, primaries for Bayelsa State on grounds of dual citizenship (Nigeria&America).
However, in a recent interview, Ben Bruce, a former Director General of the Nigeria Television Authority has debunked the disqualification rumour adding that the constitution protects his interest so well.
"To the best of my knowledge, nobody has been ousted from the race. If you are ousted from the race, they have to let you know you are ousted from the race. There is no communication to that effect. So everybody is speculating. The race is the only one in the country right now. It is exciting. Everybody is talking about it but nobody has been ousted from the race." He quoted.
He further cited Section 28 of the Constitution as regards the issue of dual citizenship.
"Subject to the other provisions of this section, a person shall forfeit forthwith his Nigerian citizenship if, not being a citizen of Nigeria by birth, he acquires or retains the citizenship or nationality of a country, other than Nigeria, of which he is not a citizen by birth."

KIM KARDASHIAN TERMINATES 72-DAY OLD MARRIAGE.
72 days after saying 'I Do' to Kris Humphries, a 26 year-old New Jersey basket baller in a lavish wedding at southern California, Los Angeles-based reality TV star, Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Citing irreconciliable differences, the 31 year old Supermodel who is one of the highest paid reality show models with earnings estimated at $6 million from her TV show, clothing line, perfume, jewelry and tanning cream and other product endorsements and appearances was previously married to music producer Damon Thomas for four years, separating in 2004.
"After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best." She said.
There were claims that Kris was reluctant to be a part of the Kardashian brand as well as differences over where they would make their home, Kim's friends lashed at Kris Humphries alleging that he immediately began "chasing fame" when the marriage fell apart.
One of the reasons for divorce was that he wanted her to move to Minnesota, a decision which didn't go down well with her. Kim was also put off when Kris hired a Hollywood publicist to work on his image.

"SIASIA WAS SABOTAGED BY PLAYERS"-SHUAIBU GARA-GOMBE
A former member of the Nigeria Football Federation, Shuaibu Gara-Gombe in an interview revealed that some key players sabotaged recently-sacked Eagles coach Samson Siasia as he was having problems with them.
Shuaibu also explained that sacking the ex-coach is not the end of the nation's football woes adding that SiaSia was just a victim of the system he worked for.
Though it was clearly stated in his contract that he had to qualify the country in the 2012 African Cup of Nations, Shuaibu explained that there is something wrong with the technical committee of Nigeria football federation, according to him, the most important job of the committee is to sit down with national team coaches and discuss their match plans, team formation&players to be used, "Nigerians have to understand that if the coach fails the committee has failed too. The technical committee lacks a sound qualified head. It is difficult to believe that Osaze Odemwingie who scores from 25yards when playing for his team and Emmanuel Emenike could not score from 6 yards in a match as vital as that. The kind of goals they failed to score in that match was inexplicable." He concluded.
