MARRIED BUT LIVING SINGLE PREMIERES IN JUNE

The premiere of the highly expected drama flick – “Married but Living Single” will take place at the Silverbird Galleria on Sunday 3rd June 2012.  The event will kick off with a red carpet session at 5pm followed by the screening of the movie by 6 pm.
The movie inspired by a book written by a man of God is directed by Tunde Olaoye and produced by Kalejaiye Adeboye Paul (KAP).
 
It revolves around challenges faced by career women in the contemporary society as to their ability to blend between career and the family.  It stars Joke Silva, Funke Akindele, Joseph Benjamin, Tina Mba, Femi Brainard and a host of others.
 
 
SYNOPSIS
Mike (Joseph Benjamin) is an entrepreneur who is happily married to Kate (Funke Akindele) the creative director of an advertising agency owned by an overbearing boss played by Joke Silva. She is so much engrossed with her career that she wins big brands for her company.
Mike is diagnosed with cancer of the lungs in consequence of the smoking habit he cultivated in his school days, he needs to go to India for surgery and the Doctor advised that his wife should take a leave and come with him to hasten the recuperating process, Kate agrees to go with her husband, but as they are about to travel, the biggest telecoms company in the middle east has just been licensed to operate in Nigeria, Kate’s company stands the chance to win the bid for their adverts, and they will not be able to do the bidding without the creative director.  Kate is torn in between travelling to help her husband recuperate and winning the biggest account ever for her company.

Adah Lux, a line of clothing and accessories brand that is inspired by a young designer's passion for culturally authentic textiles and modern trends combines ethnic prints with contemporary styles creating elegant, urban, ready to wear pieces that personify and beautify the global citizen in all women.

The creative seamstress's odyssey into the fashion world started at a tender age; at 7 she churned ideas out for her mom who would then create them. In her late teens, she began a reconstructed denim line, that consisted of unique, custom pieces which incorporated other textiles, including African wax prints.

Alia Lux's family ties to Ghana and passion for Africa, has allowed her to immerse herself in the textile industry in Africa, which continues to inspire, teach and fuel her creativity.

SINGER 9ICE STARS IN NEW FLICK

After his dimunitive but well-interpreted role of an hotel attendant in a yoruba movie titled 'Oluwajomiloju', prominent singer, Abolore Akande popularly called 9ice has accepted to take up another script.

The Gongo Aso crooner would be playing the lead role in a movie titled Jejere. Speaking to NET about his experience on set, "I had to act, cry when nothing was actually wrong with me, laugh when nothing was really funny. I also had to depict this character in the presence of others. It is a privilege to be part of 'Jejere' and I look forward to the premiere". he said.

Would he like to take on acting as a new career, "if the pay is right with good content and the standard is on point, why not", was his reply.

JOSE MOURINHO EXTENDS REAL CONTRACT

We can now safely say his return to Stamford bridge has been ruled out.
Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho has extended his contract with Real Madrid by two years.
The Portuguese who joined Real Madrid in 2010 steering the club to Copa del Rey title and whose contract was meant to expire in 2014 will not be leaving until 2016.

DIDIER DROGBA TO LEAVE CHELSEA FOR CHINA

After spending eight years at the Stamford Bridge, Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba has confirmed his plans of leaving Chelsea for a club in Shinghai, China.

The 34-year-old who was highly instrumental to the Blues' UEFA Champions League win over German side Bayern Munich on Saturday reportedly burst into tears when
he told the rest of the squad during their open top bus parade with the trophy on Sunday.

"We (he and his team-mates) will
not be together next season, As I have decided to leave, I wanted to tell them to their faces. Only that I couldn't do it. They made me break down. Even if it has been three
years that I have said I wanted to leave, I found it hard to admit that it was finished with me and the club.

Especially that I had no great desire for this end. But I don't envisage sitting on the bench watching others play at a time when the club is looking at putting together a new team. So there we go, I am readying myself for a great leap into the unknown. It will be another adventure," Drogba stated.

He's expected to move to Shanghai Shenhua, where his former Chelsea
team-mate Nicolas Anelka is.
