ARSENAL EXIT: ROBIN VAN PERSIE WRITES FANS

Apparently, Van Persie is fed up of those series of trophyless seasons plus he wants his profile updated!
The 28 year-old captain's mind is made up and it seems there's no going back. But he wants his fans to understand his decision(Note: If you're not an arsenal fan, pls flip this page.lol). Read on!!!"This is an update for the fans about my current situation. I have kept quiet all this time out of respect and loyalty for the club and as agreed with Mr. Gazidis and Mr. Wenger, but since there is so much speculation in the media, I think it is fair for you guys to know what's really going on at the moment.
"As announced earlier this year I had a meeting with the Boss and Mr. Gazidis after the season. This was a meeting about the club's future strategy and their policy. Financial terms or a contract have not been discussed, since that is not my priority at all."I personally have had a great season but my goal has been to win trophies with the team and to bring the club back to its glory days."Out of my huge respect for Mr. Wenger, the players and the fans I don't want to go into any details, but unfortunately in this meeting it has again become clear to me that we in many aspects disagree on the way Arsenal FC should move forward."I've thought long and hard about it, but I have decided not to extend my contract. You guys, the fans, have of course the right to disagree with my view and decision and I will always respect your opinions."I love the club and the fans, no matter what happens. I have grown up and became a man during my time with Arsenal FC."Everybody at the club and the fans have always supported me over the years and I have always given my all (and more) on and off the pitch."I am very proud of being part of this fantastic club for the last 8 years. As soon as Mr. Gazidis is back from his 2-week holiday in America further meetings will follow and I will update you if and when there are more developments."
*mops tears with handkerchief* will miss u Van! God be with you.

Charity is the act of giving and helping. Our being alive today is not by our might, we are given an opportunity to do as much as we can. No blessing is too much, everybody present there had something to say about the act of charity. For Halima Abubakar, she supports anything that has to do with charity and was glad to be amongst the lovely children. For Lamborghini, entertainment is the only thing that can tell the government and society some things and they'll try and listen. According to him, the artistes and celebrities are powerful tools in the society, and when asked why the media was present there, he said 'the reason why the media is involved is so as to inform the society on what the celebrities do'.Mary Ero, the chairperson of the event gave two theories, the first was to leave legacies for the people coming behind and the best way to do that is by helping the children because they are the future of tomorrow. The second theory was that of commitment in supporting charity courses, and that they shouldn't hesitate to call on them in chocolate city if there is any humanitarian work to do, because they'll always be there.Mary Ero set the ball rolling with the auction. There were different items to be auctioned and each went for different prices. The first item was the essential bridal handbook by Funke Bucknor Obruthe of Zapphaire Events which goes for 12,000 but it was auctioned at 7,500, the pair of shoes went for 3,500 with the market price of 10,000,the toy abacus went for 1,000,the picture frame and notebook went for 4,000and the t-shirts went for 5,000. The fashion auction was supported by Ajeh Clothing and Shegz kool. The children of Wesley Schools for the hearing impaired 1&2 and those of Pacelli School of the blind were very happy about the charity event organized for them, they were all filled with smiles on their faces as they danced, ate and drank. The event was later moved outside where the fun continued. At the end of the event, Stand up to Cancer Naija Lagos representative, Chidinma Ifepe commended the organizers of the Charity Lounge Lagos and encouraged everyone to continue to help people when need be. The presentations of items were made to both coordinators of the schools. The event was supported by Public Spirited Individuals, Corporate Nigeria and the Nigeria Media. The Official Induction Ceremony of the fantastic five which Includes Nollywood Star Stella Damasus, Pop artiste Innocent '2face' Idibia, Comedian Julius Agwu, Broadcaster Funmi Iyanda and Corporate Executive, Gerald Azonobo and those shortlisted for the initiatives  are The Future Project, Lamboginny Say No to Crime, Save Laura Campaign, Bake for Change and Kuth Foundation was postponed to the 8th of July at Troy Lounge to accommodate more fun experiences for the children at the event which was coordinated by Skriptures with Debbie.According to the Resident Representative in her closing remarks to the Media, Seyi Funmi Ajimushe "We are incredibly excited about all the young people we have managed to bring together to volunteer for a good cause and we are encouraging more to believe in our competence to deliver on our humanity promise to put the Fun in Fundraising. This generation wants to be different from the last, but how can it be practically done? It begins with you, but when we refuse to make commitment under the disguise of what is in it for us… we will be unable to achieve it. This initiative takes the first huge step to heed to the clarion call that charity does not only begin at Home-ARE YOU MAKING A DIFFERENCE? "

REV CHRIS OKOTIE'S EX WIFE, STEPHANIE HENSHAW OPENS UP ON SEPERATION

Rev. Chris Okotie's ex wife Stephanie Henshaw reportedly took to Facebook to narrate her own side of the story! Read on. "Today makes it three weeks I was asked for a separation and a week and four days I packed out. Romans 8:28: 'All things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them. I am as shocked as most people are, as there has not been an argument in my home. In over a year we have been as happy as everybody thought we were. I wait because I know in time God will make known what has gone wrong.""Twenty years I have known a man, 15 years we have been the closest friends. I prepared all his meals for 10 years, including the four years we were married. The day I was asked to leave I prepared his meal, served it and I left. For the four years he never fell ill but today I am called all sorts of names -' 'witch', and 'mermaid spirit.' I have served Jesus with clean hands and a clean heart. I have loved all that have come my way and if I do not live through this pain and hurt as sure as Jesus lives my children will see my vindication.""Lies, not from the world but the church; accusations not from the world, but the church. Where are the spirit filled Christians, the ones who fear and hear the Lord. My husband loves and adores me; he is not the one saying these things, the enemies from within who hate me. They hate the grace God showed me. They hate the mercy God has had on me. So, they come up with all kinds of lies. My going can bring one Mrs. Okotie, but what happens to the rest of you? You bring shame to the body of Christ out of your jealousy and selfish desire and in the process expose your pastor.
The work he has to do cost Jesus his life, don't joke with it. Our friendship is not based on marriage. You manipulate things at the expense of God's work and name. It is not about me. It has never been: it is about the will of God.Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wing until the danger passes by. Vindicate me, Lord. All things are open before you, righteous judge. I remain still, speak on my behalf. I submitted to the end.
I did all I was asked to do, Lord. I left that home blameless before you. I have loved but have not been loved. I have given and not received; but that is contrary to your word, Lord. So, today I ask your word be made manifest in my life.
Hmmmmmm!

NIGERIAN WRITER ROTIMI BABATUNDE WINS THE 2012 CAINE PRIZE FOR AFRICAN WRITING

An ibadan-based (Nigerian) writer Rotimi Babatunde has emerged winner of the 2012 Caine Prize for African Writing.

Babatunde's story about Nigerian soldiers who fought in the Burma campaign during World War II singled him out from other four shortlisted writers and landed him the highly coveted £10,000 ($15,700) prize.

Presenting the award at the Bodlelian Library, Oxford, United kingdom on July 2nd, the chair of judges, Bernardine Evaristo described the winning story as "ambitious, darkly humorous and in soaring, scorching prose exposes the exploitative nature of the colonial project and the psychology of independence."

During BBC's Network Africa interview, the visibly happy Babatunde explained that

"The story is about African soldiers who go to Burma and came back with a sense of new realities and new possibilities. The boundaries that the main character, Bombay, witnessed in Nigeria fell away during the heat of the campaign.

He lost his reverence for the colonial officers.

Babatunde will also have the opportunity to go to Georgetown University, USA, as a writer-in-residence for a month at the Lannan Center for Poetics and Social Practice.

The Caine Prize for African Writing is an annual literary award for the best original short story by an African writer, whether in Africa or elsewhere published in the English language. The £10,000 prize

was founded in the United Kingdom in 2000, and was named in memory of the late Sir Michael Harris Caine,

former Chairman of Booker Group plc.

RADIO HIT SHOW: MR INCREDIBLE THRIVES IN UNFAMILIAR TERRITORY

Sup folks,

My swimming coach once explained to me that, when learning how to swim it is advisable to start from a pool rather than the ocean, and once you can thrive in the

swimming pool, the next aim should be the ocean.

In my own opinion, M.I is the king of the pool, and now he is swimming in the ocean with sharks and whales. The following songs were reviewed this week

1) Yemi Alade- Ghen Ghen Love

2) Ebisan-Jowo

3) Becca ft M.I- No away

4) Nivvy G ft Da les (of Jozi)-Rock Ur Body

5) Boogie Man- Rock Ur Party

We found an easy and stress-free link to the latest episode.
