ACE TV PRODUCER, WALE ADENUGA'S TELEVISION STATION STARTS OPERATION BY OCTOBER

Less than a year after one of his hit soaps, 'Super story' was adjudged the most watched drama in Nigeria, Television production veteran, Wale Adenuga is adding a big feather to his cap.

The award-winning media guru just obtained a licence to commence the operation of his own Television Station-Wale Adenuga Production Television.

Wale Adenuga is currently holding auditions and recruiting the best hands for his TV Station which will start operations on October 1, 2012.

He is behind drama series like This life, Superstory and Binta my Daughter.

NAETO C AND WIZKID NAMED EKO FOOTBALL FESTIVAL AMBASSADORS

A-list entertainers, Naeto C and Wizkid have been made ambassadors of the forthcoming Eko Football Festival. What exactly do you think? Will they playing football? Refereeing? Be commentators? Hmmm, just keep your fingers crossed.

The Eko Football Festival will be a first of its kind event in Nigeria, where football and the entertainment industry will converge. It will be a long weekend filled with fun, during which football talents as well as the hospitable and fun nature of Lagosians will be showcased to guests.

Scheduled for September 27th-30th, the event is being spearheaded bý the Lagos State Football Association in partnership with popular record label; Storm 360.

LAGOS STATE GOES STRICT WITH TRAFFIC LAWS + LIST OF PENALITIES

To all motorists in Lagos, things will not be the same again. The incumbent Governor of the state, Babatunde Fashola has signed the new traffic bill into law.

For example, any person found guilty of driving on a one-way road will get a free ticket to spend three years in prison, with no option of fine. Now that's harsh!

Other penalties include:

(1) Riding a motor-cycle against traffic : 1st time offender – N20,000.00 subsequent offender N30,000.00.

(2) Smoking while driving – N20,000.00 fine.

(3) Failure to give way to traffic on the left at a roundabout – N20,000.00 fine

(4) Disobeying traffic control – N20,000.00

(5) Riding motor-cycle without crash helmet for rider and passenger – N20, 000: 00 or 3yrs imprisonment.

(6) Driving without valid driver's license – Vehicle to be impounded.

(7) Driving with fake number plate – N20,000.00 and 6 month imprisonment or both.

Renowned artistes, Peter and Paul Okoye (P-Square) and their brother Jude "Engees" laid their demised mother, Mrs Josephine Okoye to rest today August 2.

A lying-in-state session in Umunachi, Umudioka Village preceded the ceremony, then a church service at St.Gabriel Catholic Church, she was later lowered down in her husband's house at Ifite-Dunu, Akwa Village, Anambra State.

The MIC-anchored funeral event reportedly gulped about N50m.

Mrs Okoye died on July 11, 2012, about five hours after a heart surgery in Apollo Hospital, India.

May her soul find repose! Amen
