ANOTHER NIGERIAN WRITER WINS CAINE PRIZE
A year after an Ibadan-based writer, Rotimi Makinde clinched the prestigious Caine writing prize for his story; Bombay's Republic – a book about Nigerian soldiers who fought in the Burma campaign during World War II, another Nigerian writer, Tope Folarin has also picked up the gong.
The US-based writer received $15,000 for his story titled Miracle -which revolves around an evangelical Nigerian church in Texas.

ANOTHER WORLD RECORD FOR NIGERIA.
Yes! We did it. I remember writing about the preparation last year. Nigeria has successfully created another space in the Guinness Book of Records, in tooth brushing.
Yesterday, 3,000 pupils across 600 public schools in Lagos brushed their teeth simultaneously in one minute in 326 locations in the state, they surpassed India's 177, 003 record created in 2007.
