JAY Z SLAMMED WITH LAWSUIT OVER 'HOODLOVE'

HoodLove; a company established to help improve the lives of poverty stricken communities is suing rapper Jay Z and his ROC Apparel Group clothing label over trademark infringement.

The company claimed Hoodlove was registered as far back as 2006, long before Jay Z's Rocawear hijacked it, printed t-shirts and started making money off it. They do not only want Rocawear to stop using the name, they also want the t-shirts removed from stores.

MORE MONEY IN THE BANK! MADONNA NAMED TOP-EARNING CELEBRITY OF 2013

Singer, Madonna is in the news for an interesting reason. She's been named the top-earning celebrity of 2013 by Forbes magazine. The pop superstar's fortune between June 2012 and June 2013 was put at $125m.

The earnings came from her Mdna tour, merchandise sales, a clothing line, fragrance, endorsement deals, investments and more.

Occupying the second position is director Steven Spielberg with a fortune of $100m; Simon Cowell, E.L. James and Howard Stern came third, fourth and fifth respectively. Others include Lady Gaga, James Patterson, Glenn Beck, Michael Bay to mention a few.

CRISTIANO RONALDO WANTS OLD TRAFFORD COMEBACK

Of course he will be welcomed like a king. Ask Manchester United fans, they didn't get over his move to Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo knows this too well.

And just like his ex-coach, Jose Mourinho, he might go back to where he is loved, or sorry, where he's most loved. (I think)

The 28 year-old Portuguese has told Manchester United that he would like to return to the club next season.

Although, they tried bringing him back to England some months ago, Manchester United have not really made an offer but….. he's eager to return.

FOR REAL? ARSENE WENGER THINKS ARSENAL FANS ARE BEING BRAINWASHED

It shouldn't even be news that most or some Arsenal fans are angry; over no summer signings, not-too-good performances, their long quest for a trophy after seven/eight years and they are afraid they could repeat the same (no progress) cycle this season. They recently expressed their deep disappointment via a letter or several letters to the club.

However, Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger believes the media has a huge part to play in all these aggressions. The Gunners boss poured his heart out in an interview.

"The media in general has brainwashed a little bit the Emirates. Maybe rightly so, I don't know, because we haven't won trophies for years everything is negative. But we have to live with that and focus on playing well football.

"We lost one game since the beginning of March. That's why it was a shock. But we won in the Champions League at Bayern Munich. We won at Fenerbahce. It is just like that at the moment.

"People always want news. We live in a world which is very interesting but very excessive. When people are not loyal, you are critical. When people are loyal, you say they have been there too long. It's always excessive reaction. The people in charge need to keep their distance from that more than ever.

"Someone told me I have had 956 games for Arsenal. I care about this club and when we had last week's result I was deeply disappointed. This is not a personal trip. This is about doing things well for the club I love and I am happy we are back on track."

Oh! So emotional (wipes tears)

IDRIS ELBA TO STAR IN. THE FILM ADAPTATION OF BEASTS OF NO NATION

Idris Elba's role in the yet-to-be released biopic on Nelson Mandela, "Long Work to Freedom" was too fantastic. I suggest you google the trailer if you haven't seen it.

The British actor has secured the lead role in an african book adaptation, Beasts of No Nation, written by Uzodinma Iweala. Trust the handsome 41 year-old actor to do justice to this as well.

The film which would be bankrolled by Red Crown Productions will be directed by American director and film writer Cary Fukunaga.

SYNOPSIS

The story follows the journey of a young boy, Agu, who, when civil war engulfs his West African country is forced to join a unit of mercenary fighters. Not only must Agu face the death of his father and disappearance of his mother and sister, but must also join a life of violence and brutality. Agu befriends a mute boy named Strika and together they face the crimes and hardships of war.

WHY VICTORIA BECKHAM DOESN'T SMILE

That successful fashion designer, Victoria Beckham looks unhappy all the time should by now be a very boring topic. But she has her reason just like we have reasons for doing certain weird things.

During a recent interview on this same topic, (people must have been really pained to bring the matter to her notice.lol) the mother of four revealed, "When you're in a position to be paparazzi-ed just walking down the street, you'd look a little daft if you were smiling all the time. I smile in family pictures."

Interestingly her footballer husband, David is not unaware that people find the whole look thing very odd, he recently defended her on facebook after posting a cute photo of Victoria. "See I told you she smiles."
