ARSENAL SIGNS BRITISH-NIGERIAN DEFENDER, SEMI AJAYI

After completing a successful trial and putting up several impressive performances, Semi Ajayi, a British-Nigerian footballer, has been signed on to the youth team of Arsenal FC on a two-year deal.

The 20 year-old ex Charlton player scored on his debut for Arsenal against Blackburn Rovers, he also contributed immensely to the Gunners 1-0 win over West Brom.

 

He tweeted excitedly, "Delighted to announce that I have officially signed for @Arsenal FC. Can't wait to see what the next two seasons here have in store for me. Thank you everyone for the messages wishing me well on my move to Arsenal I've been overwhelmed by the amount and I'm truly grateful".

‘Keeping My Man’ a new flick by budding actress Rukky Sanda which is themed on love, betrayal, deceit etc will premiere at the Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos, today, September 25, 2013. Going by these behind-the-scene pictures, it looks really good.
The fair-skinned actress isn’t doing the conventional type of movie premiere, she’s inviting the cast, crew, guests etc for a private dinner. The star-studded cast include Rukky Sanda, Alex Ekubo, Karen Igho, Monalisa Chinda, Kenneth Okoli, Ini Edo, Ramsey Nouah and many more.

Nigerian/Super Eagles striker, John Utaka has made his debut in the motion pictures industry. He was featured in aa new movie titled 'Battered' which premiers at the Odeon Cinema in Greenwich London, on September 28, 2013.

Produced by Fatima Jabbe and co-directed by veteran actor, Lanre Balogun, Battered also features Theodora Ibekwe, Yvonne Hays, Collin Archer Pearce, Atto Erick, Marie Gomez; Nana Churcher, Tim Uche, Lanre Balogun; DJ Ozzy to mention a few.

It would be recalled that the likes of Emmanuel Babayaro, Osaze Odemwingie and Obafemi Martins made cameo appearances in some movies several years ago.

MARIO BALOTELLI GETS 3-MATCH BAN FOR INSULTING REFEREE

Who can separate Mario Balotelli from controversy? The AC Milan striker has been given three-game ban for directing insulting and intimidating expressions to the referee at the time he was sent off during AC Milan's clash with Napoli on Saturday.

 

Shortly before that, the Italian missed a penalty for the first time in his career but quickly made it up with a beautiful shot. He was sent off when the final whistle was blown after clashing with Napoli's Valon Behrami and then arguing with referee Luca Banti.
