COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT SCANDAL: JOY BEWAJI RETRACTS STATEMENT

Here's the latest from the copyright infringement issue between Nigerian writer/publicist, Joy Bewaji and Big Brother UK housemate, Makosi Musambasi. You won't understand if youu didn't read the initial post on it, check the link below it.

ON THE MATTER WITH MAKOSI

To address the issues concerning the presentation of the book: "Self Love: The Ultimate Choice" by Makosi, it is imperative to state that there was an absolute breakdown in communication at some point that resulted to a misunderstanding, which escalated to shock, anger and a total fall-out.

We have since been summoned to a round-table dialogue; and all misunderstanding and disagreements have been laid to rest. As it appears, no one has a horn to their head after all.

I do understand the need to "grow above" certain situations, but my first response was to react angrily, and for that I will take a bullet.

At this point, after proper intervention and mediation, I would like to retract my previous letter as it contains scathing remarks that came straight from a point of utter disbelief.

I trust this would conclude the matter.

Thank you.

C RONALDO WRITES AMERICAN AUTHORITIES FOR FAN'S RELEASE

Remember the guy who ran to the pitch and gave his hero, C Ronaldo a sweet hug during the match between Real Madrid and Chelsea at the Sun Life Stadium, Miami in August? 19-year Ronald Gjoka has been arrested for that action- that harmless hug. Not only did he spend two days in jail, he will be facing two charges, (trespassing and disorderly conduct).

The Real Madrid star got wind of the case and wrote a letter to the Miami-Dade state attorney's office, to plead for the boy's release. "My name is Cristiano Ronaldo, and I play football (soccer) for Real Madrid, I was playing at Sun Life Stadium last month when a fan entered the field. His name is Ronald Gjoka, a young college student. We hugged, and we spoke for a while, until security arrived to escort him off the field. He was not aggressive or violent in ANY way. In addition, he did not resist security or police in any possible way."

He continued, "I am concerned because I understand he may face potential problems with immigration and with his college if the criminal charges against him are not dismissed. I understand your position and the importance of enforcing rules and laws. However, I respectfully request that you and your office reconsider this decision and dismiss the two criminal charges this young man faces. Sincerely, Cristiano Ronaldo."

Unfortunately, C Ronaldo's emotional epistle wasn't honoured, infact a spokesman for the state attorney, Ed Griffith said as nice as the letter is, it would have no effect because Ronaldo wasn't the aggrieved party. The case against the kid would be concluded tomorrow.

I really hope he will be discharged and acquitted. Poor soul!
