MAVIN RECORDS ISSUES OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON WANDE COAL'S EXIT

 
It is with deep regret that we officially announce the departure of recording artist Wande Ojosipe, popularly known as Wande Coal, from Mavin Records due to irreconcilable differences. Over the past few months, Mavin Records has made a concerted move to consolidate its position in the Nigerian music industry. Mavin has pursued a renewed ethos to raise its standards of quality and professionalism to a world-class level. 

Wande’s vision has not aligned with ours and a few months ago all parties mutually agreed that a separation would be the best course of action. Legal parties on both sides have spent the past six months trying to reach an amicable solution in terms of musical property rights. However the decision by Wande Coal to release ‘Baby Face’ purportedly as his own material is a direct breach of intellectual property law and compelled an immediate clarification on our part.
Both Mavin Records and Wande Coal have enjoyed a remarkable run in the course of their working relationship. It is unfortunate that conflicting priorities contributed to the premature curtailment of a hitherto fruitful accord.
Mavin Records reaffirms its goal to constantly provide high quality music to our fans and introduce new and exciting talent into the industry.
We wish Wande Coal the best of luck in all his future endeavours.

TWITTER WAR: DON JAZZY LASHES OUT AT WANDE COAL

Mavin records head honcho, Don jazzy, is very angry at the moment. And he’s not bottling up his feelings. He’s accusing talented singer, Wande Coal who left Mavin Records months back of intellectual property theft. According to Don Jazzy, Wande’s new single titled ‘Baby Face’ which was released under Wande’s Black Diamond’ records today rightfully belongs to him.

The likeable music producer, took to twitter this evening to lash out at the dark-skinned singer. Tweeting a link of the demo of the controversial song he made a year ago, he said he expected the M2M singer to acknowledge him. In his response, Wande Coal labelled him an enemy of progress, well those were not his exact words but he implied it. Read their tweets above.

WHO WANTS VAN VICKER DEAD?

This is not by any means the only celebrity internet death hoax. Artistes like 2face Idibia, Babasuwe have one time or the other been “killed” on the cyberspace. A new report claims Ghanaian actor, Van Vicker lost his life from injuries sustained from an accident on his way to church on Sunday. The saddest part is the rumor started on a fake facebook account of his colleague, Nadia Buari. The fair-skinned actor who recently celebrated his wedding anniversary has debunked the rumour. He wrote on his facebook page.
“There is a post on an imposter’s page that I had an accident this morning on my way to church and I might die from bleeding. Its a rumor and a stunt to drive traffic to that page. I am well and in great health. JeHoV dey by my side. StayEeasy.”

Speaking on phone to a Ghanaian writer, Van added, “These people have speculated my death more than 10 times. I do not know what they want but it could be they just want me dead. They can’t kill me. I am not even in the country so how can anyone say I had an accident on my way to church this morning. I am fine and very healthy. There is nothing happening to me.”

"I ONLY ATE TOO MUCH PUFF-PUFF, I'M NOT PREGNANT" TIWA SAVAGE

Few days after the news of her "pregnancy" went viral, especially after the above picture surfaced online, Ms Tiwa Savage says it isn't what you all think. The Kelekele crooner set the record straight after a member of the audience at the Time Out with Tee-A live Edition Concert, held last night at Intercontinental Hotel lagos, asked if she was really expecting a child.

The Pepsi ambassador replied, " I love Puff-Puff, I ate lots of them and drank a lot of water at Mrs Annie Macaulay Idibia's baby shower, my tummy bulged out giving people the impression that I am pregnant, I am not pregnant oooooh"
