Giant Spanish club, Real Madrid has for the ninth consecutive time been named world’s richest club with total revenue put at €519 Euros. Coming next is their rival, Barcelona with a revenue of €483 and current UCL title holders Bayern Munich €431 occupies the 3rd spot.
Manchester United has for the first time in 17 years slipped out of the top three spot.

GENEVIEVE NNAJI UNVEILED AS ETISALAT AMBASSADOR

Nollywood screen goddess, Genevieve Nnaji has inked a reported N100 million deal with telecommunication company, Etisalat. She was officially unveiled at a

ceremony that took place at Wheatbaker hotel, Ikoyi, lagos yesterday, 22nd January, 2014. "#etisalat #goinggreen". She announced on her instagram page.

"We officially welcome @GenevieveNnaji1 as an Etisalat

Ambassador for the #Easyflex. We do quality not quantity." A statement on Etisalat's official Twitter account reads.

The Ije star would join Hollywood's Hakeem Kae Kazim in promoting Etisalat's Easy Flex package. Other artistes on Etisalat's train include Ice Prince, Olamide and Seyi Shay.

"MY FAMILY CALLED ME RUBBISH DURING ANDRE VILLAS-BOAS' TENURE" EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR

Togolese international, Emmanuel Adebayor told The Sun the criticisms he was subjected to by his family and friends when his career spiralled downwards during Tottenham boss, Andre Villas-Boas’ reign. The dark-skinned striker was ordered to train with the reserves after his refusal to leave Tottenham during the summer.

The whole story changed after AVB was relieved of his job and a new manager, Tim Sherwood resumed. Not only did he get more playing chances, he also made it to the scoring sheets; netting a total of five goals in his six Premier League games.

“I was right at the bottom of the hole. Even people in my own country, people from my own family, criticised me. It can’t get worse than that. They said, ‘You’re rubbish and whatever you did before in your career was luck.’ But the new coach [Sherwood] trusted me. He gave me the keys to all the doors of the club and said, ‘Do what you want to do and make yourself at home’.”

Still on Toke Makinwa and Maje Ayida's wedding. Like we mentioned few days ago, the popular OAP and her fitness expert hubby opted for a low-key wedding on 15th January, 2014; a decision which shocked her friends, colleagues and family members.

"It was such an intimate event, I haven't stopped apologising to family and friends who feel slighted that they could not attend.  I really did not wish to keep it a secret, If anything we would have loved to have all our loved ones there with us but this was our registry and  so much had happened between Maje and I in the last 3 months. Plus, it was such a huge surprise, I had no clue. I hate surprises but I must say, this one knocked me out of my elements because i usually suspect something is happening. Hehehehe!  I am not fully over it yet."

NIGERIAN ARMY WARNS CELEBRITIES

I got this from Daily Post Nig, don't know how true it is but it doesn't sound fictitious to me though. The Nigerian Army has reportedly sent a statement to Nigerian celebrities expressing their displeasure over the use of the military gear in their videos, photoshoots and concerts. Citing the likes of Davido, Jesse Jagz, Iyanya, Wizkid, Chidinma and Tekno Miles, the Force stated that the "military camouflage is not meant for the entertainment industry, It is strictly meant for military personnel".

"This is to inform the general public and most especially Nigerian celebrities to abstain from the use and abuse of the Nigerian Military camouflage. Several investigations were carried out and we noticed the camouflage is mostly being used by Nigerian celebrities in music videos, photo-shoots and concerts. In this same videos and photo sessions, Nigerian celebrities like 'Jesse Jags' smokes marijuana while putting on the Nigerian Military camouflage. Henceforth, any civilian found GUILTY of putting on the camouflage irrespective of their social status will be dealt with severely.'
