"Why I came on stage for a performance in a coffin" Kelly Handsome

A month ago, controversial singer, Kelly Handsome stunned the crowd during an event at Imo state when he came on stage carried in a coffin. Well, he’s given a reason for that weird stunt. Here’s what he told a Nigerian Tribune reporter recently.

“I’m at that point in my life when many believe that Kelly Handsome’s musical career is dead; so I thought of a concept that would best depict my comeback, and that was what I came up with. It wasn’t an easy decision but I had to take the bull by the horn.”

Opinion: Before Fulani herdsmen kill all of us | By: Odimegwu Onwumere

It is an inquisitive thing that Fulani herdsmen are apparently taking laws into their hands in Nigeria. From their occupation in the rearing of cows across the bushes and lands in the country unsolicited, but especially in the forests and lands of the South-East and South-South zones, they have  become merchants of death anywhere they went, as gory stories of their sophisticated mayhems rent the air.

Over 150 people were reportedly killed recently, by Fulani herdsmen in an attack on three villages of Ugwar Sankwai, Ungwan Gata and Chenshyi, in Kaduna State. Their killing sprees in a place like Berom of Plateau State, have taken precedence. The killings against Christian Southerners and
Northerners are a story for another day, so that no one is pushed to cry. The sad side of it is that the affected villagers from the villages these Fulani herdsmen cum gunmen have meted out their shoddy acts, say that the herdsmen opened fire on them immediately they entered their villages. Initially, these Fulani herdsmen were known for the little knives they hold around their waists while herding their cows. But today, they are armed with AK 47 rifles. Terrorism everywhere!

On March 10 2014, a sitting Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam narrowly escaped death. His envoy was said to have been ambushed by assumed Fulani mercenaries. They engaged Suswan and his security aides in exchange of gunfire at Tee-Akanyi village in Guma Local Government Area of the state. The herdsmen had earlier sacked those within the Uikpam-Mbabai. The attack on Suswam’s convoy compelled the governor to say that it’s a real  war and beyond the Fulani herdsmen.

Without hiding for the fear of arrest, the Fulani herdsmen after they had spilled the blood of the innocent people arrogantly declared that the violence should be blamed on Suswam. It’s the National Vice President of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Alhaji Hussaini Yusuf Bosso who was credited with such a goofing statement for. whatever reason. Needless of going to look for who the sponsors of the marauders were, Bosso might tell
Nigerians.

Police who were supposed to bounce on the statement made by Bosso and make arrests, have rather been busy urging Fulani herdsmen and Benue Farmers in February to embrace peace. That was after over 35 persons had lost their lives in the Gwer West local government area of Benue State in that month, in the hands of suspected Fulani herdsmen.

Over 80,000 people were reported to have been displaced in the outbreak of the attack. Is anybody mouthing the police? But if Ndigbo were the Nomads/Herdsmen that have been killing countless innocent people in different parts of Nigeria, police would have been set on motion to be arresting anybody found with cows across the country and there could have been legislation to the effect that rearing of cows, is part of terrorism and the rearers, terrorists.

Go ask the MASSOB members what their experiences are in the hands of the Nigerian security men and women and how many of their men and women have
not been lucky with their lives in the hands of the security people, even when the MASSOB is a non-violent group. The members’ sin in the hand of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is that they said they need Biafra.

The killing spree continues to be the new found love of the Fulani herdsmen. In 2012 a serving senator, Dr. Gyang Dantong, and the lawmaker representing Barkin Ladi in the state house of Assembly, Gyang Fulani, were killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen at a mass burial in Maseh, Plateau State. Yet, governments at all levels behaved and are behaving as if they did/do not have a feel of the dastardly act, except in the newspapers.

Not even the deaths of such glaring prominent people have brought peace between the herdsmen and their host communities where they feed their cows without paying any remuneration. The other time, the women of Ubima
(Governor Chibuike Amaechi’s place) in Rivers State protested to Government House, Port Harcourt to lodge their grievances that the Fulani herdsmen were allegedly raping them in the farms and using dangerous weapons to harass them whenever they complain that the cows were destroying their crops.

The same story is applicable to all the villages and towns in the South-East and South-South zones of this country where the herdsmen have become the Lords of Manor. They do not listen to anybody against the backdrop that their cows destroy crops; and the government is even, always mute to react or act, whenever the people lay their complaints against the herdsmen.

Gradually, the uncalled-for-attitude of the Fulani herdsmen is turning into terrorism. Their cows are terror to farmers’ crops and to the environment, while the herdsmen have become terrorists to human lives at a slightest provocation. Where are we going in this country? This is very unfortunate! And the government security apparati, like the police that should not relent to curb the menace, as we have seen above, were using plea as the new way to fight crime in Nigeria.

Calculating these killings, it has become pertinent to say that the lives of the cows being reared by the herdsmen are preferred by the rearers than the lives of innocent people who advise them contrarily to their already programmed mindset of: ‘we better kill villagers who ask us to pull our cows out from their village’.

While the Fulani herdsmen brag of the number of people they killed in any village they invaded, the problem with Nigeria in checkmating their excesses becomes intelligence. Imagine that in some of the stories, these Fulani herdsmen would group and take uniforms to attack, and no security person would halt them.

Let the government be alive to its responsibility. The government should stop being busy always changing top security personnel, without any iota of change in strategy and new approach to curtail the nuisance of the Fulani herdsmen and their supporters.

In a civilised clime there will not be noise to it as even trained dogs can arrest the activities of the herdsmen. When some goons took to activities such as the herdsmen’s and wanted to take over the South-East, local vigilante group that was called Bakassi, was formed and arrested the situation.

Government should do something about the Fulani herdsmen-initiated killings and harassments of Nigerians in any of the areas they graze. The worst is that when they are provoked, they even attack in a broad daylight and yet go unhurt.

Is this picture of Kcee and C. Ronaldo real?

Limpopo crooner, Kcee shared this photo of himself hanging out with Real Madrid star, C Ronaldo. I know he was (or probably still there) in Madrid of recent but ermm, dunno if this picture is real though. C Ronaldo’s left hand is “missing” and I’m still *confused*.

Men at Paul Okoye and Anita Isama's wedding.

There’s no point asking who rocked what better since they all wear the same design. Male celebrities including Mike Ezuruonye, Emmanuel Adebayor, Julius Agwu, Iyanya, Naeto C, Okechukwu, Cameron Okoye and his dad Peter Okoye, to mention a few all looked well-turned out in their respective attires in the ceremony.

Arsenal Annihilation: Read Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger's post-match comments

The match between Chelsea FC and Arsenal FC which shockingly ended 6-0 few hours ago was Arsene Wenger’s 1,000th game in charge of the club. Sure most Arsenal fans had pictured a beautiful win to commemorate their Manager’s latest milestone in the club. But it turned out to be a disaster, a nightmare an embarrassing defeat on a day the whole Arsenal camp was supposed to be celebrating their iconic boss. The match unofficially ended at the 17th minute, after Chelsea had successfully netted in their 3rd goal. The rest they say is history.
Anyways, did anyone wonder why Jose Mourinho walked away at the 89th minute of the match? The general concensus is, he wanted to avoid a handshake with the Frenchman who he had been at loggerheads with of late (and all the time). But if you ask me, he probably went to have a good laugh somewhere. We know Mourinho, we know what he’s capable of doing.
Anyways, here are both coaches’ post-match comments.

No one else could blow Jose Mourinho’s trumpet better.

“We had 10 amazing minutes and with that you can win the game and show everybody that you won’t give a chance to any opponent. I was so happy with the approach, we came to kill and in 10 minutes we destroyed them. After that first 10 minutes, the job was easy. We pressed them high and well and attacked the space very quickly. We got the result with some numbers which are special for our fans, which makes it even more beautiful. ManCity have everything in their hands, Liverpool have everything in their hands. Nobody plays Champions League from the top four, they have just the Premier League matches to play and we have at least two big Champions League matches to play in between.”
Arsene Wenger on the other hand was devastated and he accepted “full responsibility for the defeat.
“This defeat is my fault, I take full responsibility for it. I don’t think there’s too much need to talk about the mistakes we made. We got a good hiding today. It’s how we respond now on Tuesday night against Swansea and the best way is not to explain too much the mistakes.Yes, of course it’s one of the worst days in my career. It’s over after 20 minutes and it’s a long game after that. You don’t prepare all week to experience that kind of experience.”

He also talked on the controversial handball incident that saw Kieran Gibbs mistakenly sent off and a penalty awarded to the Blues.

“I believe it was handball but the referee hasn’t seen it. The ball went out and I think it’s Chamberlain who touched the ball. I don’t know who gave indication to the referee that it was handball but he has certainly not seen it. Of course it’s a huge disappointment today but we want to win the next game now.”

11 Signs That She Is Not That Into You

Ladies are not easy to understand. No wonder it becomes very confusing for a normal guy to find out, if she is interested or otherwise. However there are also cases when we become victims of ignorance where we fail to notice basic signs that lie in front of our eyes. It is always better to pick these signs, before she assumes you to be this desperate psycho trying every chance to gain her attention. Here are 11 signs that she is not that into you:
1. She often doesn’t return your calls:

You could assume that probably she’s been so busy with work that she didn’t get even two minutes to spare or that she obviously must have lost her phone or you could just come face-to-face with reality that, she’s just not that into you.
2. She flirts with boys in front of you all the time:

When a lady likes you more than a friend, there can be no excuse why would she do this. So instead of making yourself believe she’s just trying to make you jealous, why don’t you just come close to the truth? And the obvious truth here is, she is not that into you.
3. She shuns you like a fly:

Ladies always respect the one whom they are interested in. It is in their DNA. There can be no other explanation for belittling you, often forgetting promises made to you and choosing everything possible over you. So if a girl acts like she really doesn’t give a damn, probably she really doesn’t give a damn.
4. She avoids the ‘commitment’ topic:

When you try to talk about your future together, she changes the topic. It is time to face the fact. She does this because she doesn’t want to have a future with you and she may be flirting around with you.
5. She doesn’t return your advances:

Think about how she reacts when you ask her for a date. Does she just change the topic or come up with silly excuses? If at all she agrees to come out with you, does she always try to bring someone along? Here the huge possibility is that she doesn’t want to be anything more than friends with you. She has already made it pretty evident. It is just you, who isn’t picking the signs.
6. She isn’t amused by your jokes:

If a girl finds you funny, half of the job of getting her attracted to you is done. However if she just won’t laugh at your jokes, if she rolls her eyes at your witty comments and sulks at your funny one-liners, she isn’t that into you.
7. She ignores you often:

You catch a glimpse of her on the street. You excitedly wave in her direction. But she walks away as if she never saw you. When you finally manage to reach her and ask her why she didn’t say hi to you, she acts all innocent saying that she didn’t notice you. Well obviously she didn’t notice you because she was trying hard not to!
8. She is often quiet around you:
Women love to talk. So once that mouthpiece goes into silent mode, it is time to worry. You often notice her not being herself around you and often not telling you even basic important things about her day. You need not look further my brother, the big obvious truth staring at you in the face is that she is not that into you.
9. She often doesn’t include you in her plans:

All ladies like their space. But if most of her big plans don’t include you, this is a sign of trouble in paradise. It is so obvious that she is just trying to get away from you and doesn’t know how to tell it to you.
10. Nice Comments:

You write nice Facebook posts or rather made a nice comment on a blog, she sees it and either likes your comment or reply you nicely, that’s it! That doesn’t mean she likes you and it’s not a sign that she is into you.
11. She sends out signs that she is uncomfortable:

If you take a step towards her, she jolts backwards. This is a clear indication that she feels uncomfortable around you. Do you seriously need any more signs?
Sometimes the signs are not that hard to pick. It is just that you are so blinded in love that you just won’t notice. All you got to do is open your eyes to notice the very much visible truth-she’s not that into you!
