Barcelona playmaker, Lionel Messi who returned to training a day ago is wearing a new haircut. Messi has really stepped up. The Argentine forward has joined other footballers who parade an array of bizarre or bold haircuts. Gone are the days when he would leave his hair dull, shapeless and at times dangling across his forehead.

The father of one has shaved the sides of his head and left the top intact. Can’t wait to read footie fans’ reactions to his new look when the season kicks off this month.

"My time there has finished." Spain midfielder, Xavi announces retirement from international football.

Spain/Barcelona midfielder, Xavi Hernandez has retired from international football. The 34 year-old who won 133 caps made his international debut in 2010 announced his decision to hang his boot in a press conference held today in Barcelona.


“I’ve taken the decision to leave the national team. My time there has finished. From now on I’m another fan of the Spain team. I’m grateful to everybody at the Federation (RFEF), it’s been a marvellous time for me to be there for so many years and have so much success. I’m leaving very proud and I wish them all the best.” He affirmed.

Foremost TV presenter, Agatha Amata floats multi-million naira TV station

Foremost TV personality, Agatha Amata is preparing to launch her multi-million naira TV station, ‘Rave TV’. The station began test transmissions on Monday, July 22,2014. The building is situated at Esther Oshiyemi street, Ilupeju Lagos.

“Rave TV will be launching with a full bouquet of programs, from movies to telenovelas, talk shows, documentaries, children’s programmes to mention a few.
Our flagship live show will be the morning rave which runs from 6:30 to 10:30am. We also have a youth segment in the evenings.” The Inside Out host disclosed.
Dignitaries expected to grace the TV launch which is slated for Friday, August 8, 2014 include Delta state Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, First Lady of Lagos State, Mrs. Abimbola Fashola, Mr Emeka Mba, Director General, National Broadcasting Commission and many more.

Ebola: Lagos doctor who treated dead Liberian tests positive

Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Onyebuchi Chukwu has announced that the Lagos doctor who treated the Liberian man that died few days ago of Ebola Virus has tested positive to the Virus. The Minister also added that 8 people who had first degree contact with the Liberian have been quarantined and are under strict observation.
