Help Save Blood Cancer Patient- Oluwaseyanu Bashorun

Oluwaseyanu Olurotimi Bashorun, a 25 year old student of Applied Geology at Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) was diagnosed of Acute Leukemia (cancer of the blood) in February this year at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

His family was told that he would  undergo a Bone Marrow Transplant (an expensive procedure) as a definitive treatment for the condition.
‎They resorted to using immune boosters, blood transfusions and other palliative methods which did not improve his condition. He his now at a critical state between life and death at Obafemi  Awolowo University Teaching Hospital (OAUTH), Ife.

His family has spent N3 million naira on treatments and various tests carried out on his blood sample in and outside Nigeria.  ‎

Yesterday, the doctors had to perform a urgery on him (as his veins are weak and have collapsed through countless piercings done to transfuse him)to create a path for blood transfusion and administering of intravenous fluids which he is constantly in need of to keep him alive before the Bone Marrow Transplant is carried out. In the process of this, a lot of air entered his lungs and it was another battle to correct that.

The Bone Marrow Transplant cannot be carried out in Nigeria, an invoice from a highly recommended hospital in India shows us that the procedure will cost about  N11 million naira.

At the moment his family is struggling very hard to pay the bills in OAUTH so there are no extra funds to take him to India and there’s nobody to run to for this huge amount.

A lot of money has been spent so far but this has just been for palliative measures in managing the condition. His family has been told to act very fast in order to save his life and help him achieve a bright and rewarding future.
They have been able to raise some form of public awareness via BlackBerry and Twitter‎ and that has fetched 1.2million naira and about 9.8Million naira is still needed.
#saveseyanu is the hashtag being used on twitter, the family ‎needs a wider reach so that more good hearted, willing and able people can respond to this.

Oluwaseyanu’s spirit is unbroken even though his body is battered and in severe pains. He has the will to be a survivor but we need the Bone Marrow Transplant to help him realize that

He needs financial assistance in getting the funds required for the Bone Marrow Transplant to save his life.‎

Please find below, a link to a youtube video showing his previous and present condition:

His sister and only sibling Ouwaseun Shenbote(Nee Bashorun) ‎can be reached anytime on 07087471332 or 07087935281‎ for further details.
Pls help spread the word! Thanks

Emmanuel Adebayor denies kicking his mum out of his house, insists his family is practising witchcraft on him.

Tottenham forward, Emmanuel Adebayor has debunked claims made by his sister, Maggie that he threw his mum out of his house in Africa after suspecting her to be a witch.
Speaking on Ghanaian radio station, Peace FM, Maggie stated that ever since her brother abandoned their matriarch over a year ago, the latter has been catering for the family from proceeds from her petty (polythene bags, padlocks etc) trade.
Reacting to the accusations on the same radio station, the 2007 BBC African Footballer Of The Year stated that he never threw his mom out of his house that she left on her own accord. He also implored the family to stop practicing Juju (witchcraft) on him.

‘I never sacked my mum from the house. She decided to leave the house. How am I going to be in touch with my mum if my mum is the one telling everyone that my work will not go forward, so I will just be on my side and do my thing. They should stop talking, they should stop doing Juju on me, they should leave me alone.

‘I bought a $1.2m house in East Legon for the one talking and calling herself my sister. Can you imagine that sister went to rent the house without my knowledge?’‎
