Femi Kuti's Paternity Controversy: Chocolate City releases official statement.
Femi Kuti’s management team, Chocolate City has lifted the lid on a story published on blogs few days ago about the Afro beat legend disowning two of his kids after a failed DNA test . Below is the official statement.
“News published about Afro Beat Legend Femi Kuti that surfaced on the internet on Friday about two of his five children not belonging to him after taking a paternity test was not a recent occurrence but actually happened over 8 years ago.
Encomium Magazine recently published an interview with Femi Kuti 8 years ago where he spoke about his music, career and personal life. During this interview he spoke on the identity of 5 of his children and then revealed that two of these 5 children were not his and that he had since making this discovery returned the children to their mother.
Reports labeling this story as recent are false, this old interview was simply rehashed by some blogs and newspapers in a bid to steer up controversy and have something to sell, some blogs even went as far as publishing pictures of his legitimate children in a bid to pass them off as the affected children.
Femi Kuti is a loving and responsible father who takes the privacy of his children very seriously and so we request that blogs, newspapers and magazines kindly take off the pictures from their platforms as this is an evasion of their privacy as well as a security risk for the children.”.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Meet JayJay Okocha's lovely children.
I saw a documentary on Nigerian soccer legend, Jay Jay Okocha about 14 years ago, it was a form of interview conducted in his house and I remember him showing off his kids. These two were so young then. How time flies! I know the girl bears Daniella, dunno the guy’s name. They certainly bear uncanny resemblance to their father especially the dude.

Black Poetry | By: Stan Aneto
We walk through a desert of time, with our fists, necks and ankles shackled by acquired values, alien to us. We believe in a lie that our complexion, cultures, languages and many more aren’t good enough. So, we struggle to become who we are not. Sadly, we are still not accepted and may never be.
Black Poetry calls us to give up the struggle and accept with ease, who we are. An identity of true originality is a much needed tool for liberation. Stan Aneto collaborates with gifted Swahili boys of Tanzania (Triss Emmanuel and Dj Domz) in a journey of music and spoken words to revamp the necessity of Black consciousness.
