"Keshi will get a new contract because he has won everything"- Pinnick

Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick  has disclosed that out-of-contract national team handler, Stephen Keshi will get his contract renewed because he has won everything and only needs support to improve the team.

You will agree with me that Keshi has won everything; he just needs to be enhanced in terms of building his capacity and that‎ is exactly what we intend to do.”

He continued, “It’s like when you
are building a house and you feel that the house needs to be enhanced so you put other structures for enhancement
and that’s what we are going
to do.‎ Keshi is going to be offered
a new contract. But in the contract
we are going to have certain clauses working with the technical
study group, working with the
technical committee, working
with the technical department.

“And making sure in terms of player selection, there is science
of players which means fitness and so many other things. So, all those are the things that are going to be embedded in the contract.

“When they are embedded in the
contract we are also looking at
areas that will improve our
performance. That when there is
any window we will be able to send him on internship, attachment to various clubs in Europe. All those are things we are doing to enhance his capacity.”

Photos: Stephanie Okereke-Linus' foundation gives free VVF repair surgeries to 15 women

Seasoned actress, Stephanie Okereke-Linus' Extended Hands Foundation gave free VVF repair surgeries to 15 women in Ilorin. Since its inception, the goal of the Extended Hands Foundation has been to restore hope and put smiles on the faces of women. For some years now, the foundation has been focused on helping women with Vesico Vaginal Fistula (VVF) – a serious disability that can be experienced by women after childbirth – and giving them a chance at living normal lives through free repair surgeries. Recently through the support of Diamond Bank PLC , 15 women living with VVF received free repair surgeries at the Kwara Specialist Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State. The women all had successful surgeries and were nursed back to health at the hospital.  Before the surgeries, many of them had been shunned and separated from their families as a result of the embarrassing effects of the condition. Some of them lost their jobs, their husbands, and were forced to live in degrading conditions. Thanks to the successful surgeries, they are now back with their loved ones and are living their dreams. Vesico Vaginal Fistula  (VVF)   is a serious disability that can be experienced by women after childbirth.
They are holes resulting from the breakdown in the t
issue between the vaginal wall and the bladder or rectum caused by unrelieved obstructed labour. The consequence of such damage is a woman's inability to control the flow of urine or faeces. It occurs more often in young women during childbirth, as their bodies are not yet mature for the process.   The pool effort was lauded by the First Lady of Kwara State Mrs Omolewa Ahmed who received Stephanie Linus and her team from Extended Hands Foundation as well as the Diamond Bank team at the State House in Ilorin. She commended their effort and pledged her support to the eradication of VVF in Kwara State.  The state Commissioner for Health Alhaji Kayode Issah , also received the Extended Hands Foundation and Diamond Bank Team during their stay in Ilorin, commending them as well for their effort.   The Extended Hands Foundation with the support of well meaning corporate organisations like Diamond Bank will continue to extend its efforts to women with VVF across other states in the country. 2014 Ballon d'Or: Lol! Football fans predict Messi's outfit

The 2014 Ballon d’Or awards ceremony is kicking off in few hours time and one of the nominees, Lionel Messi’s possible outfit for the event is already causing a stir on social media.
Infact, footie fans all over the world are watching out for two things at the ceremony; the Barcelona forward’s suit and the eventual winner.
Can you really blame them? From the choice of colour to the design, the Argentine’s suits at past events have been really outrageous.
So some people came up with these suggestions. ( All these suggestions are crazy, it’s not as bad pls.lol).

Trust Messi to disappoint them tonight. And if he appears in any hideous outfit, we might need to start a hashtag on twitter or beg him to hire the best wardrobe stylist ‎in Barcelona, Argentina, anywhere.

Lionel Messi finally addresses Barca-Chelsea move

Waiting for Lionel Messi’s side of the Barcelona-Chelsea story for the past few days was a bit torturous. The talisman has branded rumours of his move to Premier League clubs, Chelsea or Manchester City as lies.
The rumours of his exit from the Catalan club were fuelled after he followed Chelsea and their players Thibaut Courtois and Filipe Luis on twitter about a week ago.
The Argentine set the records straight  on Barca TV.
“I don’t intend to leave, not to Chelsea, not to Manchester
City. Everything they say is lies and I want everyone to know,
that everything that’s been said is false”, Messi affirmed.

‎The ‎27 year-old player who is presently at Zurich for the 2014 Ballon d’Or awards last night received an award for being top-scorer in La Liga.
