Barcelona midfielder, Andres Iniesta has signed a ‘lifetime contract’ with Barcelona, keeping him at the club for the rest of his career. The Spaniard has also put an end to speculation regarding his future at the club.

Kudos and knocks have trailed a statement made by Nigerian superstar, Tiwa Savage on gender equality. In a chat with BEAT FM’s Toolz on ‘The Midday Show’, the award-winning singer said women and men cannot be regarded as equal and then further urged women to work twice as hard as their male counterparts.
She said, “It’s a reality. I’m not going to say I’m completely comfortable with it but it is what it is. You have to deal with it. If it means you have to work 10 times harder than your male counterparts, don’t complain about it, do what you have to do. We all celebrate people like Oprah and Mo Abudu and we don’t actually realize what they have to do to get to that point. They probably had to do 20 times more what the male counterparts had to do. But Once you get there, you don’t complain about how you got there. So, whatever it is you have to do as a female, you just have to get it done. I also don’t think men and women are equal, I don’t think that’s how God created us, especially in the household anyway. So I think as females when we realize that we can be strong in our career, when we are home we have to realise that the man is the head of the house.”

Aguero to be out for 6 weeks
Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero is likely to be out of action for a minimum of six weeks, according to a doctor of the Argentina national team. The Argentine who broke his rib in a car crash last week after attending a music concert a week ago in Amsterdam will miss important updates, he recently took to his Instagram page to share his recovery update.
“Thank you with all my heart for the supportive messages, they really do help me in recovering. I’d like to thank the staff of the VU University Medical Amsterdam for their care and support. Hats off to all their team. I’m home in Manchester after an exam by club Drs. It’s a broken rib. Hurts, but I’m fine, fully focused on recovery.”
Dr Donato Villani confirmed today that “Aguero is going to be out for a month and a half minimum. He is unable to get out of the house or the car.”
A street in Portugal has been named after Jose Mourinho.
In recognition of his achievements in football, Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho has been honoured in his hometown of Setubal. Local authority in Portugal renamed the former Rua da Saude road on the seafront as ‘Avenida Jose Mourinho‘. The Portuguese and his mother, Maria Julia Santos and Setubal mayor Maria das Dores Meira, attended a ceremony on Tuesday for the grand unveiling.
Speaking on the honour, the 54 year-old said. “If you ask me, if I’m grateful, excited and proud, yes of course I am. I say yes to everything,” he told reporters.
“But I still want to come to Setubal and be who I am. I come to Setubal because I love Setubal. I have my mother and I feel closer to my father. I come to Setubal because my children have never lived here and love Setubal as much or more than I do.”
He added: “Setubal remains the only city where I feel like myself, where I feel [like] Ze Mario [his Portuguese nickname], where I walk on the street and people treat me like I like to be treated.”
His mother described him as a ‘son of Setubal, a man of the world, a global personality’ and ‘one of those Setubalenses who fill us with pride because he is really special, has a special talent, has special love for their land’.

“The Women” is a movie centred around the lives of four women who (supposedly) happen to be very good friends. There is Omoh (McDermott), a competitive woman who is particular about making good impressions, even where she and her husband Maro (Monjaro) are in the middle of a financial crisis; Rose (Obiang) who has a high sex drive, never seems to get enough attention from her husband Ayo (Branch) and finds it hard to keep her mouth shut about anything; Teni (Oboli), the high-society lady with a huge chip on her shoulder who is always quick to throw her social weight around; and Ene (Henshaw), a gossip who is not exactly proud of her rich, plus size semi-literate husband Chibu (Ojefua), and fills in his “inadequacies” with the family chef.
Notwithstanding their financial difficulties, Omoh convinces her husband Maro to host a weekend party at an exquisite hotel for her 40th birthday. She throws invitations to their three friends and their husbands, who oblige her. However, the weekend getaway becomes an emotion cauldron of sorts, as the atmosphere gets tense and each woman subtly tries to outclass the other, in the face of grand scheming and dirty big secrets.

Away from the issue of marital fidelity, the movie explores a number of subjects, including unhealthy competition in friendships, honesty and marital compatibility. The film also touches on the subjects of age difference in relation to marrying older women, the right to choice in pregnancies, and mental health in marriages.
Based on the plot of the movie and roles therein, “The Women” provides a big chance for Ufuoma McDermott to shine in a leading role, and she somehow blows it; her acting is too mechanical, and her role interpretation is hard to watch, particularly when it comes to the dialogue. This is Omoni Oboli’s third feature film in 2017, and the fatigue seems to take its toll on her acting, as there are portions where she seems to try too hard, but she holds her own nonetheless. Katherine Obiang spices up the cast with her effortless humour and a bit-over-the-top acting, but the same cannot be said for Kate Henshaw, who for all her pedigree, happens to be a virtual no-show here. Ojefua’s comedic sequences light up the movie, Femi Branch is a bit of a balancing act, Tony Monjaro’s acting seems forced but he aces the role of oblivious husband nonetheless, and Kalu Ikeagwu, who plays Teni’s husband Bez, does not seem to have too much to do on this one.
The movie itself starts slowly, but eventually picks up and maintains a decent pace up to the closing credits, though one cannot help but feel that the twists and resolutions were arrived at a bit too quickly. The dialogue is worthy of commendation, but the sound engineers deserve some talking to; they could have done a lot better. A big chance to dwell on the issue of post-partum depression is passed up too, and that part of the film does not get the attention it deserves.
“The Women” in general reinforces the cliché that a gathering of ladies is always a tense and complicated one, but clichés wouldn’t be what they were if they were not valid truths in the first place. The movie has its rough edges, but it is a more than decent effort, it will cause genuine giggles, and movie goers should add this clip to their schedule.

It was payback time Wednesday, September 27th, for fans of superstar singer, D’banj, especially those who subscribe to his innovative digital talent hunt platform, Creative Reality Entertainment Arts Music, CREAM. Sergio Aguero fractures ribs in horror car crash.
Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero was involved in a horror crash in Amsterdam last night & has multiple fractured ribs. According to reports in the Netherlands, the Argentine was saved by his seatbelt when the Crysler PT Cruiser he was being driven in to the airport rammed into a pole in Amsterdam, close to a pedestrian crossing.
The 29-year-old was in Holland on Thursday, September 28 night to attend a concert by singer Maluma, following Manchester City’s Champions League victory at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday. Both he and the driver were saved by airbags and rushed to the hospital. He’s expected to be out for two months.

Former Chelsea striker, Diego Costa has sent a farewell message to Chelsea following his reunion with former club, Atletico Madrid. The 28 year-old who netted 20 league goals in 2014-15 and 2016-17 campaigns will return to the Laliga club in January after his €60million move from Stamford Bridge was finalized on Tuesday.
He thanked the club on his official Instagram page saying, “Some cycles begin while others end, “My cycle at Chelsea began three years ago – three remarkable years in all aspects – and I will never forget it. Two championship titles, a Community Shield, 120 matches, 59 goals and 24 assists later this cycle has ended.
“Not the way I would have wanted – far from it – but the best way possible.
“The wonderful fans of such equally admirable club and all team-mates, as well as all clinical, administrative and logistics staff will remain forever in my mind and in my heart.
“[I] will bring them with me with the certainty that I will always be by their side as well, and I’m sure they will understand the reason why this cycle of mine has now ended – because I could not lose faith in myself. Thank you Chelsea for everything!”
Ancelotti sacked by Bayern Munich
After only one full season at Allianz Arena, Bayern Munich have sacked manager Carlo Ancelotti following Wednesday’s 3-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, the club’s heaviest defeat in the Champions League group stages for 21 years. The German who replaced Pep Guardiola last summer, was sacked after a meeting of the club’s board on Thursday 5 months after winning the League.
Chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, said “The performance of our team since the start of the season did not meet the expectations we put on them. The game in Paris clearly showed that we had to draw consequences. Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic and I had an open and serious discussion with Carlo today and informed him of our decision. “I would like to thank Carlo for his cooperation and regret what has happened. Carlo is my friend and will remain so, but we had to make a professional decision for the benefit of FC Bayern. I now expect the team to have a positive development and absolute performance, so we can reach our goals for this season.”

Nigerian singing duo, Peter and Paul Okoye, a.k.a Psquare have for the umpteenth time parted ways.
One half of the pop star group, Peter in a written letter to his lawyer, Festus Keyamo, cited threat to his life and that of his family and demanded for a termination of the Psquare contract. He also questioned his elder brother Jude’s role in the crisis, adding that he took sides with his twin brother.
