Flying Eagles players visit children at New Plymouth Hospital.

I hope they will also do this when they return to Nigeria. As part of their community service organised by the local organizing committee for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand, Flying Eagles players visited the children’s ward of the New Plymouth Hospital.
They spent quality time with the ailing children, played football, signed autographs, posed for photographs and donated cash to them.
Spotted at the hospital were Kelechi Iheanacho, Taiwo Awoniyi, Chidera Eze, Bernard Bulbwa and Izu Omego.
“I like children and so I was happy to come and put a smile on the faces of some of them who are ill. I hope they all get well quickly and return to school.”  Iheanacho said.

14 year-old boy wakes up from coma and asks his parents one of the most bizarre questions ever.

Some funny things you hear in football! A 14-year-old boy, San Raffaele who went into an induced coma for 4 weeks after being trapped under water for 40 minutes woke up and asked his parents a bizarre question. Which was, Is Juventus (his favourite football team) still in the Champions ‎League race?
Fortunately for him, Juventus are still much in the race. The Italian club will face Spanish giants, Barcelona in 4 days time at the final lap of the Champions League game. Albeit, Barcelona are favourites to claim the trophy but you know football can be very unpredictable.
If Juventus are ousted, one thing we aren’t sure of is how San will take the news.

Photos & Video from the episode 2 of Stephanie Okereke-Linus' Reality TV Show – Make Me Fabulous!

Stephanie Okereke-Linus’ reality TV show, Make Me Fabulous is gathering momentum. The show which had it’s premiere about a week ago is still on. Missed episode 1? See pictures here. We bring you the pictures and video from Episode 2.
One unique aspect about this show is its focus on real marriages, real issues and real solutions. It is not uncommon to see couples who get so caught up with their busy lives, that they hardly have time to spend with each other.
This was Toyin and Babatunde Ojomo’s story. They had been married for five years, and although they live together with their two lovely daughters, they have never spent a day as a couple away from home or had a date since their wedding day!
This is one emotional episode where Toyin gets to pour her heart out, an episode that will get couples reflecting on their own marriages as well.
Their fabulous treat included a cool suite at the Best Western Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos; shopping at the Grey Velvet Boutique with Celebrity Stylist Moses Ibite as well as a hair and makeover transformation by Celebrity Hair Stylist Nancy and professional Makeup Artist Lola Maja-Okojevoh. A soothing body massage and facials at the Adiya Spa was also part of the treat and the couple got to ride around in a Porsche. After their dinner at the hotel, they were surprised by a visit from Stephanie Linus and a LED TV from LG Electronics.

Photo: John Terry takes EPL trophy to a Chelsea fan fighting Leukaemia.

Chelsea made the dream of a young fan of the club, Connor Ansell‎ who is down with Leukaemia come true by taking their EPL trophy to him on the hospital bed. The players who are currently on pre-season tour in Australia received an email asking if they could do anything to cheer the ailing fan up.
JT took the silverware to him, gave him a Chelsea jersey and posed for photograph(s) with him. The smile on the lad’s face says it all.
“Today I had the pleasure to finally meet . Connor is fighting Leukaemia and Chelsea received an email before our trip to Australia asking if the club could do anything to cheer him up as Connor is a big Chelsea fan. We were halfway to him yesterday before training but traffic jams on our way forced us to turn around to make training on time, so after lunch today we made our way back to the hospital to see Connor along with the Premier League Trophy and put a BIG smile on his face. You are an inspiration my friend and keep fighting. JT @chelseafc #sydney” He wrote on instagram .

Call Me Caitlyn! Bruce Jenner transforms into a woman. (Photos)

The internet was driven into a frenzy today after pictures/video of 65-year old Olympian and reality show star, Kim Kardashian’s stepfather, Bruce Jenner’s transition into a woman were released by Vanity Fair magazine.

OMG! He, sorry, she was absolutely unrecognisable in those photographs. And then she was the cover girl for the magazine. Like this is no joke! Now she wants to be addressed as Caitlyn Jenner, (this man, sorry woman is such a kill-joy, why not Kaitlyn) and of course it will take time to get used to that name.‎

His step children, Kim and Khloe showed their excitement on twitter few minutes ago. “We were given this life because you were strong enough to live it! I couldn’t be prouder!!! Caitlyn,…” Khloe wrote

Matters arising!

Bukola Saraki Has My Vote.

Let me jump into this fight. My sole candidate for the Senate Presidency is His Excellency Senator Bukola Saraki simply because I once saw his father eat Amala at a party in Gbagada. My very good friend Feyi Banjoko was having a party for her cousin somewhere in Gbagada long time ago and she invited me. It was at this party that I met, the legendary Olusola Saraki, father to Bukola.
I watched him very closely as he greeted everybody and carefully sat to eat his Amala and Ewedu soup. He devoured the food with so much vigor, he was very hungry that day and asked for extra Amala. When the Amala was not forthcoming he stretched and took my own. I was so proud, that I could ‎not wait to get home to tell my mum, that Olusola Saraki took my Amala.
Ever since, I have followed very closely the fortunes of this family, from the crashing of Societe Generale Bank, their family bank through Bukolas emergence as Governot and his fight with his Sister Gbemi. My understanding of the Saraki enigma was complete when I used to go to ilorin to beg the Present Governor for business as an Investment Banker when he was Commissioner of something.
The man will sit me down and tell me how Bukola was the next best thing after Agege Bread. The man will talk and talk and at the end of the day, he will not give me the business and he will not even give me food or transport money. I used to imagine which kind Commissioner be this and be praying in my mind for him to loose election.
So you see my long relationship with Bukola hence my support. So I am appealing to all Senators to please kindly elect Bukola Saraki as the next Senate President for all the reasons I have stated above. Thank yo‎u.
