Man undergoes 23 surgeries to look like Superman.

Crazy stuff! 37 year-old Herbert Chavez from Calamba City in the Philippines has undergone 23 surgeries in 18 years to look like his hero, Superman. He fell in love with the TV programme at age 5. 
He’s spent over £4,200 on nose jobs, skin-whitening, liposuction, jaw realignment, pec implants, bum implants and fillers to look like Superman.
Doctors refused to do permanent abdominal implant for him after discovering he’s been injecting himself with a controversial and illegal filler product into his body.‎
Herbert is loving his new self and has no regrets whatsoever.
‘What is there for me to regret? Everything that has happened in my life has been positive and because of Superman. When my body says it can not endure it anymore or when my doctor says that my body can not handle it because of age, then I will stop.’ He said.

Meet Ahmed Wali, the acting Chairman of INEC

‎After 5 years of dedicated service to the nation, Professor Attahiru Jega handed the leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to Ahmed Wali, a national commissioner of the electoral body from the north-west today. During his tenure as the electoral umpire, he‎ conducted two general elections in 2011 and 2015.
The tenure of the new acting Chairman, will end on August 11, 2015. Wali, an indigene of Sokoto state, obtained his first degree from Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto and MBA from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He was once Nigeria’s ambassador to Morocco and also served as the senate leader between June 1999 and November 1999. Ex‎ President Olusegun Obasanjo once appointed him minister for the National Planning Commission (NPC) and the deputy chairman in 2007.

Rapper, MI emerges the new CEO of Chocolate City Music

‎Singer, Jude Abaga, popularly called MI or Mr Incredible has emerged the new CEO of top music label, Chocolate City Music. He takes over from founder, Audu Maikori who assumes the role of President of the group. Ace rapper, Ice Prince Zamani is now the Vice President of the label.
The lawyer cum social activist who has steered the ship of the organisation for 10 years  made the big announcement on his official twitter page. 
“Hello everyone it’s my pleasure to announce the team that will be running Chocolate City Music.‎ To clarify I have not left entertainment business…I have merely left the day to Day responsibilities of CCM. it’s been 10 years of working with an incredible team to build arguably one of the most successful music labels in Africa.. And I want to say thank you to each and every staff and artist we have worked within that period.

 From July 1st I shall assume the role of President Chocolate City Group. So you can call me Mr President. The new CEO of Chocolate music is MI Abaga! Congratulations to a great leader and partner! BVN registration deadline extended to Oct. 31, 2015

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in a circular issued and signed by Mr Dipo Fatokun, Director, Banking and Payment System Department, in Abuja today has extended the Bank Verification (BVN) registration deadline to Oct. 31 to facilitate a smooth completion of the registration exercise.
`It has come to our notice that the BVN registration has elicited tremendous interest from the Nigerian bank customers who crowded the banking halls in order to beat the deadline. In view of the foregoing, it has become imperative for the banks to extend the timeline for all customers to have the BVN. The deadline for the enrolment is hereby extended from June 30 to Oct. 31,” It stated.

NFF sack Super Falcons coach, Edwin Okon.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have terminated the contract of Super Falcons coach, Edwin Okon. The women’s national team’s exit at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada and his refusal to shake hands with coaches at the tournament were the major reasons why his contract wasn’t renewed. ‎The Rivers Angels’ assistant, Christopher Danjuma has taken over as an interim coach.

“The contract given to the crew has elapsed with the Women’s World Cup in Canada. Mr. Christopher Danjuma will now take over the team in acting capacity, pending the appointment of a substantive coaching crew, the process of selecting a capable replacement has began.

‎

“We commend Okon and his crew for the services rendered to the country. They did well to reclaim the African Women Championship title for the country in Namibia in October 2014, thus qualifying the team for the Women’s World Cup in Canada,” NFF technical committee chairman, Felix Anyansi said.

Argentinian reveals how Lionel Messi 'saved' him from kidnappers in Nigeria

My reaction when I saw this story online was, “When did Lionel Messi visit Nigeria?” on what mission? 
A 28 year-old Argentinian, 
Santiago Lopez Menendez has revealed how global soccer star and fellow country man Lionel Messi ‘saved’ him from kidnappers in Nigeria.
Menendez an engineer was captured while helping local farmers plant soya and corn in an agricultural project in Kontagora, Niger State, Nigeria on the 24th of June. He was tortured for 3 days, denied food, water, rest and beaten badly.
Along the line he figured out that his captors who spoke little English  thought he was an American. To bail himself out of the situation, he said he repeatedly chanted Messi and that was the magic. The beatings stopped. His employers, Four Mills later came to his rescue.
Now back to his country, Menendez told Clarin newspaper through his brother. ‘Thank you Messi, mentioning your name saved my life.’

17 year-old boy dies of Ebola in Liberia.

This people actually held a party to celebrate the exit of Ebola in the country. Sadly, a new case has been discovered and this news is coming 7 weeks after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared Liberia free of the virus.
The patient, a 17-year-old boy died of the EVD at Margibi, near Monrovia on June 24 and was buried the next day. Officials are still trying to determine how he caught the disease.
Deputy Health Minister Tolbert Nyenswah, has however allayed fears in the citizens.
“There’s no need to panic. Our team was there yesterday June 29 to investigate the situation and know the area. But to be vigilant is good. We were vigilant. Our surveillance team is working very, very well. They have picked up this dead child from his parents’ home, tested it yesterday and the child was positive.

 We ask all Liberians and all other nationals living in Liberia to continue taking preventive measures. Please lower your blood pressure. We are on top of this. This is something we know how to deal with.”

Gay-marriage: "I will ask Obama's hand in marriage." Robert Mugabe

President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe has condemned and mocked America’s decision to legalise gay marriage across all 50 states. The African leader in a weekly interview in a radio station added that he plans to travel to the White House to propose to the US President, Barack Obama.
The anti-gay marriage crusader said, ‘I’ve just concluded – since President Obama endorses the same-sex marriage, advocates homosexual people and enjoys an attractive countenance – thus if it becomes necessary, I shall travel to Washington, DC, get down on my knee and ask his hand.’

He continued, ‘I can’t understand how this people dare to defy Christ’s explicit orders as our Lord prohibited mankind from sodomy’, going on to accuse the U.S. government of being run by ‘perverted Satan-worshipers who insult the great American nation.’
