Wins over Arsenal are not special – Mourinho

Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho said in an interview that victories over Arsenal does not make him extremely happy or special. The manager made the statement ahead of their community shield clash tomorrow at the Wembley. When asked if he takes pride in his record against Wenger, Mourinho replied: “No. It doesn’t matter, Arsenal, the manager, whoever.
“I think [the Community Shield is] in between. It’s more than a friendly, like with Barcelona and PSG [friendlies], but it’s less than a league game. Different motivation. Who knows?” he said when questioned on Wenger’s ability to win. “I’ve never made a special thing about wins over Arsenal. I don’t explode with happiness when I beat them, and I won’t make drama when I lose.”

Mourinho and Wenger have a long-standing rivalry, with the Frenchman yet to beat his counterpart in 13 attempts, while the Blues manager described the 65-year-old as a “specialist in failure” 18 months ago.

Manchester United Unveil New Adidas Home Kit

Manchester United have unveiled their new Adidas Home Kit for the 2015-16 season.
It should be recalled that United announced in July last year the agreement of a 10-year, £750 million ($1.28 billion) contract with Adidas — the biggest deal in sports-licensing history.

Adidas designer Inigo Turner said in a statement on the club website: “We have aimed to break expectations by reengineering simple but impactful design features such as the classic v-neck collar and the iconic three-stripe detailing down the arms as our commitment to giving Manchester
United a truly ground-breaking kit for the 2015-16 season.”

The shirt costs £60 from the club’s official online megastore on Saturday, with a kids’ shirt priced at £50. A baby kit is £35.

Loic Remy targets more playing time and goals

Chelsea striker, Loic Remy has set sight on assuming a more significant role at the club by playing more regularly and scoring more goals in the forthcoming season.
Remy, who scored seven Premier League goals in 2014-15, told Sky Sports News HQ: “I want to bring everything I can to the team and I just want to do more as I think this season will be more difficult than the previous one.
“So, all the players must be better than last season and I just want to be better, play more and score more.”
The 28yr old was signed from Queens Park Rangers last summer but found consistent playing time hard to come by, with Diego Costa preferred by manager Jose Mourinho as the side’s lone striker.
Remy made six top-flight starts during the campaign and in 2015-16 he faces increased competition following the addition of Radamel Falcao on loan from Monaco this summer.

Angel Di Maria's whereabouts unknown

Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal has conceded that he doesn’t know the whereabout of record signing, Angel Di Maria who is on the verge of completing a move to Paris Saint Germain.
Di Maria was expected to reunite with his club in California on Saturday after he got some time off as a result of the Copa America. He, however, missed his flight and has failed to report to the club.

“You can ask that every week, but it is the same answer,” Van Gaal said in his news conference. “Maybe you know? I don’t know that either.”

United are locked in talks with PSG about selling the former Real Madrid winger, who became the most expensive player in the history of English football when Van Gaal paid £59.7 million for him in 2014. The French champions’ manager Laurent Blanc again voiced his confidence that a deal will be completed soon.

“You know negotiations are in tandem,” Blanc said in his news conference. “But as United and Paris Saint Germain are both big clubs, that can be difficult. But we feel we are close to the end.”

The decision affirms speculations that the club are keen on his sale as Manager Brendan Rodgers looks to clear his team of fringe players. Liverpool had already indicated that they were prepared to listen to offers for Balotelli, who has attracted confirmed interest from Sampdoria and Bologna, as well as being linked with their Serie A rivals Lazio.
Balotelli was also omitted from the squad for their recent tour of the Far East and Australia.
The Italian striker is only 11 months into the three-year deal he signed when joining Liverpool from AC Milan for £16m last August. He scored four goals last season and frustrated Rodgers with a series of disappointing performances.
