A phone call convinced me to leave Manchester United – "Di Maria

PSG player, Angel Di Maria has revealed that a phone call from his current squad manager,  Laurent Blanc convinced details him to leave Manchester United for the French club.

The 27 year-old left Real Madrid for the English club for £59.7m and later sold him to PSG for the £15.7m.

Blanc told beIN Sports, “The first time we spoke, it was before I signed for PSG. This made me very happy. It happened the same way when Mourinho made me come to Real Madrid. They called me before I spoke with them.

“Blanc called me when he was in the United States and I was still on holiday. He said he was very happy to recruit me, that he had wanted me for several seasons.

“Obviously, this gave me an added incentive to sign for PSG.”

Not Chelsea, Arsenal or Barcelona. The most watched football team in the world revealed.

One would expect the team to be either Chelsea or Arsenal or spanish giants like Barcelona or Real Madrid. But the ‘winner’ happens to be German football club, Borussia Dortmund. They have emerged the most watched football team in the world according to a recent report by ‘Sports Venues 2016’. The number of people who passed through the Westfalenstadion last season has been put at 1.36 million.

'Ashamed' Mourinho feels betrayed by Chelsea players.

Chelsea coach, Jose Mourinho has admitted being ashamed
at their (16th) position on the EPL Log. The Blues lost their 9th
game of the season during their clash with Leicester last night. Unlike last
season when their sparkling displays were crowned with a title, the Blues have flopped
irredeemably this season and have found themselves in the relegation zone.
The Portuguese however suspects foul play amongst some of
his men. He told reporters shortly after the game. “We conceded two goals that
were unacceptable for me because I know one of my best qualities is to read the
game for my players, to read the opponents, to identify every detail about the
opponent and these two goals…”

“The movement of Vardy between the two central
defenders, the cross with the left (foot by Mahrez), then Mahrez in the box,
one against one that I want one against two because I want the midfield player
to close the best foot (of Mahrez).

“They are two goals (that are) very difficult to
accept, big frustration to accept, because I feel like my work was betrayed if
it’s the right word.”

“All last season I did phenomenal work and I brought
them (Chelsea’s players) to a level that is not their level, that is more than
they really are, or this season we are doing so bad that the players for some
reason — I’m not saying all of them of course, I don’t want to put some of them
in the same basket — but clearly with some of them it’s so difficult.”

“We can’t finish top four, but we can still finish
top six because so many teams are dropping points.”

“But at the moment we’re in a zone where I feel
ashamed.”

“I accept we are in the relegation zone but I don’t
accept we are in a relegation battle, You look at the table and we
are there but you think you are in a relegation battle if you think you are
there for three or four months. I don’t think that.”

Stella Damasus and Daniel Ademinokan launch TV station

Celebrity couple,  Stella Damasus and Daniel Ademinokan are set to launch their online television station, Mon Afrik TV. The station according to Stella is going to feature a blend of BET, MTV, E-ONLINE, NBC and CW Network all rolled into one but with 100% per cent African content.
“That is what we have created and we want Africans all over the world to see this as their own medium of expression, not just another TV station.” She said.
Ademinokan added,  “We see no reason why a struggling producer who could barely afford to raise the capital to make his or her TV show should also look for money to pay the TV stations for airtime,” he said.
“After that, they have to convince brands to place adverts on the show before they can start making any money. That is extremely discouraging for independent producers.
“Mon Afrik TV is creating a platform where producers can showcase their works to the world and make good money for themselves without having to deal with the run-around from TV stations.
“This is not a Video-on-Demand platform for movies and is not trying to pry into an already saturated market.”
He continued, “Africa has often been represented as a dark, isolated continent.
“Yes, Africa has issues, just like every other continent but there is more to us than starving children, gun wielding terrorists, arid lands and dilapidated buildings in remote villages.
“We have beautiful cultures, a vibrant entertainment industry and entertainers who have conquered the world on many levels and we want to showcase that to the world.”
