Case Settled! Chelsea apologise to Eva Carneiro

Former Chelsea doctor, Eva Carneiro has settled constructive dismissal claim against Jose Mourinho as Chelsea apologise unreservedly. The British doctor who reportedly 
rejected a £1.2m settlement from the club was relieved of her duties as the first-team doctor following ex Chelsea manager Mourinho’s disagreement with her decision to run onto the pitch to treat Eden Hazard towards the end of the game.

Jose Mourinho’s presence at the court  believed to have helped secure the settlement. Chelsea have now released a statement apologising to Carneiro. 

The statement read: “Chelsea Football Club is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Dr Carneiro which brings her employment tribunal proceedings against the club and Jose Mourinho to an end.”
“The club regrets the circumstances which led to Dr Carneiro leaving the club and apologises unreservedly to her and her family for the distress caused.”
“We wish to place on record that in running onto the pitch Dr Carneiro was following both the rules of the game and fulfilling her responsibility to the players as a doctor, putting their safety first.”
“Dr Carneiro has always put the interests of the club’s players first. Dr Carneiro is a highly competent and professional sports doctor. She was a valued member of the club’s medical team and we wish her every success in her future career.
“Jose Mourinho also thanks Dr Carneiro for the excellent and dedicated support she provided as First Team Doctor and he wishes her a successful career.”

Emotional Angel di Maria paid tribute to his grandmother after scoring for Argentina against Chile

Real reasons Toke Makinwa filed for divorce from ex partner, Maje Ayida.

Yesterday, news that popular On-Air-Personality, Toke Makinwa has officially filed a divorce petition to end her marriage to fitness coach, Maje Ayida gained traction on social media. Although she never addressed the matter publicly, going by documents which emerged online, these are the core reasons she’s seeking the dissolution of the 18-month old marriage.
1. The lady (Anita Solomon) Maje Ayida cheated on her with delivered a baby boy in United Kingdom. She presently lives with him in Toke and Maje’s former matrimonial home.
2. Maje claimed to not have money to take care of her & pay their bills, but was able to pay for Anita’s upkeep and travel expenses to the UK to have their baby.
3. Following the birth of the child, Maje became physically and emotionally tied with the mother of his child.
4. Toke was meant to sign an endorsement deal worth N20 million with a telecommunications giant in Nigeria. However, following the widespread negative media publicity arising from Maje’s adultery, the company withdrew from the deal.
5.  Toke alleges that Maje continued in his adulterous acts after it became public and boasted on several occasions that he wished to have been married to someone else.
6. Maje took pride in doing whatever he desired, discussed his business dealings and took advice only from Anita.
7. Any slight complaint Toke made usually resulted in Maje going on a rant, seriously nagging and making use of vulgar abuse in the clear view of their domestic staff, church members, and neighbours.
8. She alleges that Maje also made threats to physically assault her. Living with him became uncomfortable and unconducive.
9. That due to  Maje’s apparent lack of love and affection to her, it has never been a concern to the him if she is in a good state of health.
10. Sometime in December 2014 and when several entreaties from her had failed, in order to exploit other means of saving her marriage she invited some of her family members and in-laws in order to seek a resolution of the matter. Rather, than yield to her plight, he continued his adulterous relationship with Anita.
He became more resolute in embarrassing and disrespecting, her such that verbal abuse/nagging to the knowledge of all the people living in the neighborhood from Maje became a routine affair. She further tried to persevere and bear all the insults, emotional and psychological abuse of her ex husband from December 2014 to 8th November 2015 when she could no longer tolerate same and was thus forced to leave her matrimonial home.
11. The adultery and irreconcilable differences have caused the irretrievable breakdown of the marriage between her and her ex, efforts at further reconciliation have failed and future attempts at reconciliation would be impracticable and not in the best interests of hers.
12. That from the foregoing, Maje has behaved in such a way that she cannot reasonably be expected to live together with him.

American superstar, India Arie to storm Lagos for Sax Appeal concert.

4-time Grammy award winning singer, India Arie is coming to Nigeria and yes we are so excited about it. The 41 year-old songwriter, would be headlining the 5th edition of the esteemed Jazz concert, Sax Appeal founded by Saxophone heavyweight, Mike Aremu.

Ex Chelsea Doctor, Eva Carneiro turns down £1.2m settlement from the club

The last hasn’t been heard of the case between former Chelsea first team doctor, Eva Carneiro, Chelsea and Jose Mourinho. Recall that the issue started when Mourinho faulted the doctor’s treatment of Eden Hazard during a home game last season and went ahead and called her impulsive and naive. 

The latest development is that the medical professional rejected a £1.2m settlement from the club in constructive dismissal case, according to documents submitted to her employment tribunal.
Albeit Mourinho wasn’t present at the hearing, he admitted to using the Portuguese word “filho da puta”, which means “son of of a b***h or whore”, towards Carneiro but said they had no sexist connotations.  ‘Cesc and I both speak English well, but in the heat of the game we both swear in our mother language. Eva was not on the pitch at that point in time.’ Mourinho added.
Part of Dr Caneiro’s legal argument reads, ‘This is a tale of two employees: one good (the claimant) and one bad (Mourinho). 
‘The bad employee forces the good employee out of the job of her dreams and the employer does nothing to stop it. 
‘The bad employee berates, sexually harasses and demotes the good employee for carrying out her professional duties, namely her health and safety duties as the first team doctor, pitch side. 
‘Rather then investigating and disciplining the bad employee, the employer allows the bad employee to confirm the demotion, both publicly and privately and to continue with his job. 
‘By comparison, the good employee’s demotion is confirmed and she is instructed to work and to ‘build bridges’ with the bad employee.’
The tribunal will begin hearing evidence from the 42-year-old doctor on Tuesday afternoon.

Actor, Jide Kosoko reportedly loses wife, Henrietta.

Less than 2 weeks after she celebrated her 53rd birthday, Henrietta Kosoko, actress and wife of veteran actor, Jide Kosoko, has reportedly passed on. A source revealed she died after she slummed and was rushed to the hospital. 

‘She was in coma and eventually gave up the ghost, she’s actually been battling diabetics for a while now cause her sugar level keeps  fluctuating’. The source added.

The Premier League ball for the 2016 /2017 season has been leaked. The image of the ball which started gaining traction online few weeks ago have elicited mixed reactions from the footballing public, with many claiming the design is colourful but ugly.
Meanwhile the Premier League have confirmed a leaked 2016/17 fixture list was a hoax. A statement released on its official website read thus,
“We understand the excitement that a new set of Premier League fixtures holds to the fans and media. What has been put into the public domain over this last weekend is a hoax. We would encourage all fans and media to wait for the official release on 15 June.”
