ARSENAL'S ROBIN VAN PERSIE GETS GOLDEN BOOT, SETS NEW RECORD

Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie has received the Barclays Golden Boot prize for 20-goal landmark in the Premier League season

The 28 year-old footballer who has thus far scored 22 goals in 24 appearances in this season has also become the first Premier League player to reach 10 goals this term.

It would be recalled that Cristiano Ronaldo, achieved the feat for Manchester United in the 2007-08 season.

RVP as fondly called has already beaten last season's golden boot winner Dimitar Berbatov's 20-score records.

With RVP 's spectacular performances this new season will he surpass Alan Shearer and Andy Cole's 34 record.
