Anti-Gay law: Nigerians protest in London (Photos)

Reactions have continued to trail the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act signed into law few weeks ago by President Jonathan. Various articles supporting or opposing the law have been penned; gay activists have expressed their disgust.
Yesterday, February 20, 2014, some London-based Nigerian Gay and lesbian activists under the aegis of LGBTI (Members of the Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transsexuals and Inter-sex in the Diaspora) staged a peaceful rally yesterday outside the Nigerian High Commission, London. Some of their placards reads thus; “Stop turning us into refugees, repent anti-gay law now!” Another one reads, “Nigerian LGBTIs in diaspora against anti-same law. Love and not hate. “.
However, Davis Mac-Iyalla, co-ordinator of the protest made a shocking revelation, “I know at least seven in both the Senate and House of Reps. They are in the minority and it will be wrong of me to mention their names, but they are there.”
