The Confederation of African Football has released the list of nominees for various categories of the CAF Awards 2018.
3 Super Eagles players have been nominated for 2018 Africa Player of the Year; they include Ahmed Musa, Alex Iwobi, and Odion Ighalo.
Leicester City’s Winfred Ndidi has been nominated for 2018 Africa Youth Player of the Year. Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr also picked a nomination.
For the women’s category, Asisat Oshoala, Desire Oparanozia, Francisca Ordega, Onome Ebi were shortlisted in the Womenr African player of the year.
The winners for the African Player of the Year and Women’s Player of the Year will be decided by the CAF Technical & Development Committee, Media Experts, Legends, Coaches of the quarter-finalists of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup and Coaches and Captains of the national teams of the 54 Member Associations.
The Awards Gala will be held on Tuesday, 8 January 2019 in Dakar, Senegal.
